I have a tip to pass on to anyone who might benefit from what I have started doing. Harriet, I have started a little notebook where I write down the pigments for the flower painting. I draw a sketch of the flower also. Then I write down the pigment blending for my pallet. And, the steps you walk us through. My hands are too weak to paint fast, and I can't remember the various pigment blends. I came up with this method to help me learn. LOL At 71, here I am "back in school", observing the presentation and taking notes to do what the professor demonstrated!! Too funny to me!

You can do it! Yes sometimes seeing the finished product first isn’t that helpful as it can seem like quite a leap!

Here in New England (region in us) All of my hellebores are sending up flowers, they have been extra early this year because of the warm weather. I grow them in the front yard for all the walkers to enjoy :)

I love this and the simplicity of it. I do a “painting club” with my sister and a friend and this months challenge is “Winter to Spring”. I have been working on snowdrops, hellebores or crocus peeking out of a snowy / frosty ground but all my attempts haven’t quite worked. Now I can use your technique to indicate the winter ground, so thanks again...perfect timing! 😁🙏

Hellebores are so lovely, but I've never seen one up close and personal. Apparently, according to Wikipedia, they are only native to your side of the globe. I live in Florida, U.S. and I would imagine there might be some growing in the larger botanical gardens here. I drew/painted one a year or so ago, but had to use several reference photos. When looking up photos, I found they come in a wonderful variety of colors! I love these sweet little pink and green ones you did here, Harriet!

I enjoy your video a lot and follow along painting with you. I have made a lot of progress because of your teaching. Sometimes I messed up the leaves or flowers without letting the paint to dry completely, then I realized you are a leftie, you paint fr right to left, so you won’t have the problem like I do painting fr right to left. I thought to share that experience with you. Anyhow. Thanks as always and keep doing what you do.

That was beautiful, I can’t get over how painting the grass poking through the snow added so much! I’ve never lived where I’ve seen flowers coming up through the snow, it’s just so pretty. I hope to get to try painting these flowers you’ve been painting in the summer when there’s a bit more time 😊. I just finished drawing and painting 10 valentines cards for grand kids, husband and mom, boy, these holidays come round fast!
