How to paint a watercolour dandelion in all its forms. Not only do we have a go at the golden dandelion flower we also paint the white dandelion clock! Dandelions grow in all sorts of nooks and crannies so we should all be able to find a real one to paint from.

French Ultramarine Blue
Burnt Sienna
Cadmium Yellow
Cadmium Orange

I love weeds. I always leave them in my garden - I find them so pretty with their flowers in summer. Also to guard against soil erosion when I water my plants. I painted some thistle and dandelions but I am going to follow this tutorial as yours look way better than mine. Hope we can have a full weed series.🙏🏽❤️

absolutely stunning! All the detail - patience required for the seeded dandelion - and the leaves! We so often use just "any somewhat appropriate looking leaf" in our florals but these leaves are just what you would imagine. This made me nostalgic for my childhood, when my first bouquet for my Mom was dandelions! lol! Thank you - always so impressed with your art!

I thought I wanted to paint “big”. I can only congratulate you Harriet on introducing me so skilfully and gracefully to “small” and detailed paintings that I would never have tried without you! Thank you. I really enjoyed painting along with this video. My sketchbooks seem to be full of dandelions, all in different mediums but I've never attempted with watercolour before. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much! It opened my eyes to how lovely and ingenious this , underrated ‘weed,’ really is. It has inspired me, not only to paint it, but look more closely at them in future. I have you book now and I’m enjoying reading that too. Can I make a request? I would love you to paint a nettle please! I have a lot of respect for them as they are medicinal, herbal and ecologically essential for butterflies. I wouldn’t know how to attempt all those hairs! 😬
