Thanks for the comment! There is no standard format in Canada. I've even seen receipts from stores with the format at the top one way, and at the bottom the other, on the same receipt! Australia is day month year, across the country? I wish we were as consistent! Another reason to love Australia! LOL!

That's right, Amazon has a different face for each country! I forgot! I'm in Canada, and I can't get the "Amazon Family" or something that US Amazon offers. We do have Amazon Business Prime here in Canada. Amazon is such a part of businesses now that I would be surprised if the UK doesn't have Amazon Prime Business Account. If you find out, and have a chance, can you let us know? Fingers crossed! :)

Actually No Go. Horrible customer service, Rude sales guy literally rushed me off the phone and in his own words they dont care for individual accounts and are mostly only interested in Accountants who will bring in many clients. Dont believe me? Call them, as soon as you press business owner your hung up on. Then, but if you press accountant you get somebody on the phone. They can go h*ll

Hi Megan, currently QBO receipt capture does not recognize the payment method, but you can add it in, and it may 'remember' from last time that you entered that receipt. Hopefully they will add the payment method recognition feature in the future (they are often working on improvements based on customer feedback).

I did not do a comparison to Expensify because it appears to to geared more to Corporate expense reimbursement reports. From their website: "For Admins: Configure Expensify to flag the receipts that need human attention and automatically approve and reimburse everything else. With multi-level approval workflows, Expensify gives you complete control and visibility over company finances. For employees; Snap a picture of your receipt and your expense report is done. SmartScan your receipt and our patented OCR technology automatically reads and codes the receipt details for you, then adds the receipt to an expense report that can be automatically submitted, approved, and even reimbursed." I was looking for a solution for small business owners that are looking to manage their paperwork and either do their own record keeping, or collaborate with a bookkeeper. ReceiptBank and Hubdoc both fit this bill :)

I don't think it can sync with QBD, no. Though, I don't know definitively, I just have not seen how it could. But it still is a useful tool for gathering and storing documents, especially in our remote world now.

I haven't looked into the pricing comparison recently, but I remember it being comprable. I just found out, though, that RB/Dext doesn't fetch bank statements for Canadian Clients, and Hubdoc also has dropped that option. It's an issue with the Canadian Bank System making things difficult. Works in the US though. RB/Dext does to the bank feed though, but I get that in QBO, so I don't see the need for it in Dext.

Hi Kawaii! Receipt bank only gathers/fetches, and stores your documents. It is a document Management tool. QBO is the bookkeeping software that I sync Receiptbank with. Wave is also a bookkeeping software. So we would not compare Wave to Receiptbank, we would be comparing Wave to QBO, Xero, Sage, etc. Wave is limited, but has it's uses. I don't use it personally because it does not have what I need a bookkeeping software to have. But it's good for a very small business that doesn't carry 'balances' with vendors and buys everything on a credit card, for example. It's an adding tool, that uses the bank feed for data entry, that has the sales tax layer added, and makes money on the payment processing side of their services. Not a robust bookkeeping software, but usable in a pinch. I should do a Wave vs QBO review. Great idea! Thanks!

Hi Valerie! You can have your clients on wholesale pricing, or your clients can pay for RB directly, and invite you as the accountant, similar to QBO. I'm not sure of the current wholesale pricing structure currently offered by RB though. Thanks for the question!
