Kevin Rowland, Big Jim Paterson, Kevin Archer, Billy Adams, Pete Williams, Steve Spooner, Jeff Blythe, and on and on and on...The incredible force of Dexys made certain that music would dominate my days.

The album ‘Don’t stand me down’ is an absolute treasure for anyone to find. It didn’t sell well because of circumstances but damn there are great tracks on it

Kevin's a fucking genius and a bloody honest to his soul kind of artist too. And Don't Stand Me Down got to be one of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded.

Don't stand me down is a good lp I played it a lot & liked it on release (The little nibble!!) - Searching is my favourite by a mile.

Kevin's summery of the band at the end well funny, Dexys like Kevin Archer said were the best band of the 80s, Dont Stand Me Down THE FUCKING BEST ALBUM of the 80s. Now they are back again 26 years later and from listening to Nowhere is home back in business.

Sucks that Micky Billingham wasn't even mentioned. He was the only major band member who wasn't even mentioned... well neither was Giorgio Kilkenny but he was barely with them for long at all I don't think.
