But, to elaborate, rap rap refers to rappers that actually write their own lyrics, not performing ghostwritten material. It is why REAL hip hop heads recognize a difference and hold a separate higher respect for Kendrick over Drake. Yeah, Drake is a mega hit making commercial rapper, but Kendrick is viewed as a rapper rapper and a true lyricist. You're trying to get froggy over objective facts? Stop being so sensitive and offended by the truth. I'll get you even more "big mad" by correcting myself by saying XG should actually be placed behind Soyeon and Moonbyul because I forgot that those two also write their own lryics. It'd be too disrespectful to put commercial rappers that perform ghostwritten material over rappers that actually write their own rhymes. You think it's disrespectful? Lol, but anyone TRUE to the rap game would 100% disagree with you. The importance of a rapper writing their own lyrics is a holy grail big deal in hip hop and rap. Look, nobody is denying that XG is an amazing, young, and talented group of performers. They are easily one of, if not, the best idol groups out right now. They are definitely more objectively talented as a group than even the most famous female idol group, Blackpink. But, to say they are the best rappers when they don't even write their own lyrics is a bit of a stretch, borderline bs. Maybe, in time.. XG starts writing their own lyrics and I would happily correct my mself, but until then, it is what it is. They are amazing performers that have mastered the ability to emulate hip hop and rap performance to perfection through their talent and hard work/practice which deserves all the proper praise and respect, but don't disrespect rapper rappers in the process. Respect the Lee Young Ji, Since, Soyeon, Moonbyul(s) of the K-industry that actually write and produce their own music. Also, get even more "big mad", athough XG may be considered the most collectively talented idol group out, right now... IF Babymonster debuts with a viral banger,, they have equally impressive young and talented pieces that can easily rival XG. Facts. Unlike you,, I only state objective facts devoid of emotional attachment. Please stop with the "contribute" angle when the members have ZERO song credits to their names. If any of the girls had any sort of serious contribution to the lyrics or production of their songs, they would have actual credits to their name... like Soyeon, Moonbyul, etc. I get you're a fanboy. No shame in being in an XG fan, they're a great group. But, the worst type of fans are the unreasonable and illogical ones that can't separate delusion from reality and get upset at facts and truth. @@JTPyrus Also, even if you just want to talk about flow and execution... you must have no ears if you can't tell that Lee Young Ji is on a completely different level than XG's rapline. On any given beat, LYJ would rap circles around XG. Again, this isn't shade at XG, it's to prove a point of just how god tier Lee Young Ji's rap skills are. Flow, Cadence, Swtichups, Breath Control, Lyrics, there isn't a single component of rapping that LYJ isn't better at... except "visuals", and that's just the cold harsh truth. None of the XG rapline is winning High School Rapper or Show Me The Money. I even highly doubt that any of the XG rapline would ever join a reality rap show for idols like Unpretty Rapstar because, as of now, it doesn't seem like they can write their own lyrics and/or freestyle battle rap of the top.
