Not me watching this video despite already having reservations at a non-Disney hotel for my upcoming trip…I’m really living life on edge rn

This is my favorite Disney resort and we've stayed here multiple times. We consider it our home away from home. The smell when you walk in the lobby, the beautiful surroundings inside the tower make you feel comfortable but luxurious. But the outside feels like it's own world entirely - a Spanish getaway in Florida. Also Three Bridges Bar & Grill is our favorite spot for a relaxed dinner and drinks. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about Coronado Springs!

Any Disney hotel that charges more than $1000 per night should give you free breakfast!

Stayed here for the 50th anniversary back in 2021 and absolutely loved it. It's a moderate but feels like a deluxe. Loved bike riding around the resort. The food options were also great. The pool was amazing. The resort is definitely massive but i enjoy walking, and a cast member was nice enough to drive us to our room when we first arrived. The only knock I had was that the Disney Springs bus didn't come by often at that time. Overall I'd stay here again 100%. Heck if I wasn't renting a DVC for my next trip I would have booked Coronado again.

Just stayed there a couple weeks ago. I will never stay at a different resort on property again. It was quiet, had great food, and rumors of the bad busses were greatly exaggerated. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus. And this was on a busy weekend-- during the half marathon weekend. AND we were stop 4. There was literally once that a bus was too full over the 4 days we were there. Got seats every other time.

Deluxe value for moderate price. Coronado was one of my favorite stays at Disney. ❤

We stayed here last month and absolutely loved it! We stayed in the Gran Destino Tower and it was delightful. The food was amazing and as always, the service was second to none. Highly recommended especially if you're traveling without kids.

For the price, I think this is the best resort on property outside of Riverside. Nice rooms. Great pool and pool bar. Really good food options. Well-themed. I love this spot.

My friend and I are staying here this spring! It sounds like a lovely resort, especially about how quiet it is. The thought of coming back to a quiet place after the bustle of the parks sounds divine! Since we have several days at the parks, the busses probably aren't going to be an issue for us. I like that the rooms are a little more adult and all of the dining options. I think it sounds like a great place if you're going to Disney without kids (which we are) and want something a little more adult oriented, but at a better price than the deluxe resorts.

We stayed here back in Sept 2022 and loved it. Request the Casitas, close to bus station, first pick up so there's always room on the bus. First drop off too.

Yes 100%! We stayed here for 2 weeks in November last year for our first ever WDW trip and absolutley loved it. It felt like we were staying in a deluxe, but paying moderate prices. Currently awaiting the UK deals and rebooking for 2024. We were in a twin room at the Cabanas and found it was a great place to relax and relax at the end of a park day. We were put near bus stop 4, and found transport was an absolute breeze and times to get to most places was only around 10 minutes, and around 15 minutes to Magic Kingdom. Waits were often less than 5 minutes. We did eat at Toledo's and loved the meal, also a great way to catch the EPCOT fireworks (If disney are reading this - get the music piped in!!!) Only 2 minor negatives are the conventions as we found during thanksgiving there were Cheerleaders staying on site, and ended up finding myself stuck in a 20 minute queue at 10:30pm when they had finished for the day just to get a drink refill 😂. Also rooms were a bit thin between rooms, but this was not too much of an issue as we just fell straight to sleep at the end of a park day. Also I would say this is not a resort really suitible for young children, as there is not a ton avilable of family entertainment (for us this was a positive)

I stayed here last year and we adored it! So impressed and had everything we needed, not too crowded and seemed very calm. Wanting to go back next year and definitely staying here again!!

Yes, I stayed at the Gran Destino Tower for Christmas. I fell in love with the resort. It should be a deluxe in my opinion

This is my favorite resort. Bottom line is if you don’t care about the buses for transportation and like to utilize multiple bars/restaurants without leaving the property this place is for you. Imo if you like to drink and eat around world showcase in Epcot you will love this place.

We stayed at Coronado a year ago; we had a large family group spread across the Rancheros, with one couple and a baby in the tower. We only had one problem...the bus transportation was a big issue for us. Missed a bus once because it came 5 minutes earlier than the schedule had listed (we were literally walking up to the stop as it pulled away) but we were there during a cheerleader competition and more than once full busses drove past us. We even just gave up and drove ourselves to Disney Springs so we could catch the Cirque de Soleil show after two busses passed us and we were worried that we would miss the start of the show, but we didn't have enough space in the one vehicle since some of our party had flown in...they had to get Ubers. But the bonus of that was that we also drove ourselves back to the resort when we were ready to leave...while folks in our party who decided to ride the bus waited for nearly an hour to get the ride back. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and didn't mind the hike from the Rancheros to food and shopping...but the situation with the busses will make us think twice about staying there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Coronado Springs Gran Destino Tower in summer 2022. The design is gorgeous, the amenities are great, and the cast very helpful and efficient. Destino rooms are larger, nicely appointed and closer to the restaurants, bars, & transportation than some of the other rooms. We were surprised by how quickly Disney buses got us to Animal Kingdom, Epcot, & Hollywood Studios. We will be staying there next time. Should you stay at Coronado Springs? That depends on what you want from your WDW vacation. If you want to be close to Magic Kingdom, lots of character theming, Character meals, smaller resort -- then CS probably isn't for you. If you want close to AK, HS, & EP in an upscale, quiet, spread out, great dining, with gorgeous architecture -- then CS may be just the resort for you.

I loved staying here! I believe we stayed in the Ranchos, and the walk in the morning over to the tower for breakfast was lovely! You go right around the lake and cross the bridge and it is usually very quiet here, not to mention the FL morning weather felt amazing. At the end of the day after getting off the bus, you can get dropped off closer to your room. So it's a win/win! Just be sure to catch the bus at the tower bus-stop in the morning on your way to the parks.

Absolutely yes. Yes it is big but it is absolutely beautiful. Many deluxe features at a moderate price with a great pool and hot tub. If you can foot it, pay for a room in the tower. The buses are super efficent. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus to anywhere. I'd absolutely stay there again.

My family and I were here, while we were the furthest away from everything at Coronado, everything was still sort of convenient for us. We overall enjoyed it. When it came to the buses, we decided to walk to the first stop just because I needed exercise, as well as knowing which bus to take. The only issues we had were relating for convenience for food with a baby (that was on us), as well as the poor timing of our baby becoming ill due to the heat (again, lack of experience here). So for the buses, we were able to get to the parks right away, but getting the family up for opening was a trick. The food was overall great, but due to the situation we were dealing with as described, we mainly opted out for the same thing for the week we stayed at. Not an issue, but we did manage to get breakfast which was fantastic. The activities was something we didn't due since we were at the parks each day. Would we go to Coronado again? Yes. The resort was fantastic overall. I want us to go again when our son is a bit older since he was just turning 1, I thought it was a good way to spend his first birthday at the most magical place in the world, only for him to get sick due to heat.

Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach are beautiful resorts, but they are huuuuuuuuuge. 😮‍💨 Port Orleans French Quarter is the way to go if you’re budgeting for a moderate.

It's very large and a lot of walking and ofc the buses but really other than that I loved it when I went in the summer of last year! 1st! Haha

We stayed there during the pandemic and it was amazing. The staff was amazing!! The hotel was amazing and the transportation to and from the parks was fine. My only regret is that the bar is set so high now! Love Coronado A plus.🍷😉

I have stayed there twice and both time, we actually loved. If I was going to Disneyworld again, I would definitely check this place out. Maybe next time we stay at tower, we have stayed in other area in the resort was just awesome. Nice walk to front, but it was nice in the morning with the nature. So peaceful.😎

As someone who is wild about art and architecture and is an empty-nest DVC member I wish we could use points to book a stay at Coronado Springs. It’s a shame that they didn’t include DVC into the 2019 expansion. But we’ll consider a points exchange for a future stay with minimum or no park visits. We do more of those nowadays 😕💰💰💰💸

After getting married july 7th, 2001 on Long Island we flew down to hop Grand Princess cruise for a week in the Caribbean. Then scheduled 3 days at Coronado springs. (It was a brand new resort and our travel agent recommended it) well we loved it so much we stayed an extra 4 days. We loved the pool, food court and southwestern decor. There’s 5 bus stops in the resort which makes getting on/off easier, but like AJ says it can be a hike if you’re far from the entrance. I can confirm this as we were in Ranchos section. 😂 We went back again in august 2004 just in time to be met by Hurricane Charley as it crossed over Florida What an incredible but safe experience.

A group was bidding to have Coronado Springs host the World Science Fiction Convention in 2015. They lost to Spokane (and Helsinki - which came in second in the three-way ranked preferential balloting). It would have made for an interesting site for a science fiction convention, but moving between hotel rooms and the convention center outside in Orlando Labor Day weekend would not have been fun - especially in some hall costumes/cosplays.

Stayed here last year and loved it, the transport was absolutely fine, the only issue was coming back from Disney springs was a long wait every time! We booked again today to go back next year!

Stayed here on my last vacation in the tower it was so nice and the pool bar pretzel bites with queso were tasty. For anyone deciding on a resort it'd definitely a contender only downside is it's far from the parks and disneg springs and has the bus loop. FYI the bus loop for the parks is 4321 for springs it's 1234. So if you are staying at the tower you will be last to be picked up and dropped off for the parks and first for pick up and drop off for springs

We enjoy the beautiful grounds and the rooms in the villages over the tower. It’s so peaceful and lovely rather than feeling like you just in a hotel in Vegas.

My wife and I love Disney World and after watching this we decided that we will be staying in the Gran Destino Tower in late August for her birthday! Thanks for a very informative video! We can’t wait!

I still decided to go with the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs. Since I'm traveling solo and I'm a bit introverted, I was looking for a nicer hotel where I can relax and chill out in style and comfort but also won't cost half my salary to stay at!

We stayed there in the tower in late 2019 as a second trip that year for the rise of the resistance opening week, was not bad but okay. Have had better experience with cast members at all star sports even. However getting a taxi was the easiest in replacement of Disney transportation. Not the most convenient hotel for bus transportation. Taxi was our best friend that week.

I had an AP in 2021, and went for my birthday. I was able to score this hotel, Casitas building, with courtyard, 10 days for 1600 for the trip. This was also during Cheer Competition week in February.

Been there many, many times, way before the tower was built. Remember paying about 139 bucks a night. Great pool area, way too much walking to get to the center of things. Still seems like a really good place to stay for a small family with small kids.

The one aspect that keeps me from staying there is the only transportation is the bus system. I don’t like waiting for the bus to arrive at the resorts.

Definitely one of the best moderate resorts; has amenities no other one has, and the new Gran Destino tower is spectacular. But this resort also has the same transportation issues as a lot of other moderates; no real option but the bus lines. There are 5 bus stops in the resort; this can quickly lead to full buses driving right by your stop. Should also note this is the MAJOR convention hotel at Disney now, with one of the largest convention centers in the US. So even on the off seasons, expect large crowds of people whose concerns don't include your vacation. I'm still gonna choose the French Quarter as my favorite moderate. Small, one bus stop, and a lovely atmosphere (and Beignets). Honestly, you have more options for travel at Pop Century.

Thank you for this. Just upgraded to the tower. So glad I didn't find out, the hard way, about all the walking. Also not a fan of outdoor rooms with people being able to walk right past your windows and look into your room... Cheers!

We went to Disney in 2018, we stayed in the fort wilderness campground but stayed one day/night at Coronado springs with my mom and the vibe at Coronado didn't feel Disney. It was nice but every time we were outside I felt like I had to keep my kids quiet. It had a very "grown up" feel. For my mother, in her 60s, it was ideal but for my kids it wasn't an ideal environment. For me it just lacked that Disney magic

We would stay here as the tower appeals to us, travelling as two adults with no kids! However, we really don’t like the look of the pool, would love to have seen an adult pool near the tower! It’s hard to find adult style resorts at Disney World so we often opt for Universal Resorts.

As some of the Disney Hotels have multiple choices for transportation to the parks would it not be more practical for the hotels that rely on the buses for Disney to put extra buses on for those hotels so guests don't spend most of there time waiting for a bus that isn't full when it gets to them.

if you are an annual pass holder or florida resident this hotel is 190 a night. i just booked this hotel a few nights ago w annual pass discount which is 30% for this may for 5 nights, it’s AVG per night 191 a night plus tax. costing me less then 1k for 5 nights w tax.

We were just offered an upgrade from Pop Century to Coronado Springs. I know it sounds like a no-brainer but I LOVE the convenience of the skyliner. We've never stayed at Coronado. I imagine the upgrade will be a standard room. Is it REALLY that far to the amenities?

This place sucks big time. The rooms we stayed in were worse than a Marriott and the walk was killer. Super long walk to the bus and main food areas of the resort. Talk about a total waste of money!

@dfb My family is going to Orlando on the week of July 4th. We are not staying on Disney property. We are going to the parks twice that week but not on the 4th. How can we see the fireworks if we dont go on that night?

I’ve stayed at the regular part of this resort and I would never stay there again. The busing was awful. It took almost an hour and a half to get to any of the parks. The food court was limited and the offerings were not good. All the drink refillable stations were broken down. My husband and took a trip by ourselves for the first time without our kids. We usually stay at the wilderness lodge with them. We have stayed on our own at Pop century. For a little less money, and a much better experience. That hotel was great.

Yes, riding the bus is so horrific that all of you should stay somewhere else! Ignore all the other post that say it's great and they enjoyed their stay. You should stay away, so it's easier for me to get reservations. lol

Can anyone help or advise me? Myself and my family are meant to be staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort from December 01 ar to December 08th this year but we have read so many negative reviews and I have watched most of the Disney Food Blog videos here on KZfaq and am concerned that we are not going to get value for money during our stay

We have stayed there. It’s a nice resort, however, there are too many business people there in suits and ties.
