During our last visit to Castaway Cay I got stung by a jelly. The medical center treated it at no cost. The cast members were very helpful and despite lots of guests coming in they were doing a great job.

Ages ago, my trumpet tutor spent a season playing this cruise line. He said it was a pretty great gig if on your own. They paid well and treated the talent with respect. I hope this is still true.

So glad DFB mentioned making an ice cream cookie sandwich! While I was there over the summer, I made Brownies and Cookies a la mode with the soft serve ice cream. Sooooo goooooood. Was a perfect way to wrap up my meal.

The food at Cookie's on the island was great! Lots of delicious food. It doesn't have to be gourmet to be great.

Pro tip if doing snorkelling: sun lotion 50-70+ before you get in, and as soon as you get out. Ideally go with someone. It's a bit of a grind to wade through the salt water on a hot bahamian day. I made this mistake by being out in the sun for too long, and getting severe (i'm talking blister severe) sunburn as a result.

There's usually an improptu sort of character dance party around noonish, give or take 15 minutes or so. Its not always on the daily navigator/app but we've regularly seen Goofy and Mickey show up with a boombox and spend about 10 minutes doing a dance party at Cookies One for lunchtime. We always look forward to it, just keep an eye out for them while you're eating - they usualy post up on the beach side of the sheltered picnic table there.

We travel ALOT and have used Fi in Mexico, bahamas, japan and italy eith zero roaming charges. It automatically detects where we are and adjusts how it connects to the towers. Occassionally i have to change a setting depending on the country. But international roaming and data are all included and we dont pay anything extra
