Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty is a cardiac surgeon with over 3 decades of outstanding contribution to the healthcare practice. Dr. Shetty is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. In the year 2000, he founded Narayana Health, and it has gone from strength to strength providing high-quality healthcare not just for the Indian subcontinent but across the world. He initiated the concept of "micro health insurance scheme" in Karnataka, which eventually led to the state government implementing the Yeshasvini scheme.
