Dhaba Style Gobi Matar is a classic North Indian recipe prepared with cauliflower and peas, cooked in aromatic Indian spices. Everybody at your home will love this dish. This curry is perfect for a pot luck or get together party to impress your friends or colleagues. It makes for one delicious and filling meal that you can consume for your lunch or dinner.
This sabzi is made with very minimal and basic ingredients that you will find very easily in your pantry.
Gobi Matar goes very well with hot roti or phulka along with some dal. It could also be served as a side dish for hot rice too.
Ingredients:
Gobi(cauliflower)1 medium
Matar(1/2 cup)
For Marinating:
Chilli powder (1 Tbsp)
Daniya powder (1 Tbsp)
Haldi (1 tsp)
Cornflour (1 Tbsp)
For shallow firing:
Mustard oil(1 cup)
Procedure:
In the remaining oil, add
Jeera(1 tsp)
Bay leaf (1)
Green cardamom (2-3)
Cinnamon stick (1 small)
Pepper corns (8-10)
Onion(1 medium)
Chilli powder (1 tsp)
Haldi(1/2 tsp)
Tomato’s (2 big)
Ginger (1 inch)
Garlic (6-8)
Coriander stems ( handful)
Green chilli (2-3)
White sesame seeds (1 tsp)
Daniya powder (1 Tbsp)
Salt ( to taste)
Garam masala (1 tsp)
Amchur powder (1 Tbsp)
Kasoori methi (1 Tbsp)
Coriander leaves (handful)
Ghee(1 Tbsp)
Ginger Julianne & slit green chilli (to garnish)
