In this video I have explained what is MTF or margin trading facility and how you can use Dhan app to take margin on buying your holding / long term shares. Normal pledged margin does not allow you to buy long term holding shares. You can only do intraday trading, Futures trading and Options selling this that. MTF based pledging allows you to buy and hold shares in your DP for long term.

Main Zerodha mai f&o selling karta hu. collateral margin lekar, koi inters nahi lagta. kaya dhan mai sambhav hai. F&O ke liye. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

One more thing addesd that whatever Margin given by broker will be payble at the time of exit position because thats a loan that thet given u so if u exit ur position in profit then margin given deduct from.the profit and if u exit in loss then ur acvount should be funded to pay theb marginl amount

The intial margin in your account in the example you have shown Rs 2,00,000, can that be from pledging existing demat shares or by pledging liquid mutual funds as cash equivalent collateral margin?

Sir.one doubt. Let us suppose we are buying 100 qty @ Rs 100 price and in mtf we getting funding of 70%. We need to have Rs 3000 in our account for executing this. As you said , we need to maintain same margin else it will be sold. This means total we require Rs 6000 as initial 3000 will go for buying and balance 3000 will be kept till we hold shares.is this correct?

Hi it means you need to maintain initial 3000 margin all the time. For example your share price goes down from 100 to 90 then your margin also reduces to 2700 from 3000 hence need to maintain 3000 you need to maintain some extra funds to balance the volatility..

very well explained,But two things if you can elaborate . 1.I was reading on interface while going for MTF....bellow mentioned (T+7 days) what is that!! 2.when will they start taking intrest..is it from the day of buying or else!!

1. If you do not pledge it, broker will sell it in T+7 days 2. From the same day of buying

Agar 1 lakh account me hai aur margin ka use karke 5 lakh ke share uthaliye aur share 20% niche girgaya to account me 1 lakh aur hone chahiye. Jitna loss dikhayega uthne paise account me hone chahiye. Isse acha hai apne paise se hi trade Karo nahi to stoploss use karna padega.

Kya hoga agr MTF le liya aur Loss ho jaye? 25000+75000(MTF)= 1,00,000/- Agr kisi ko 30% Loss ho jaye means total amount hi 70000/- rah jaye. Apna Paisa to gya margin ka bhi 5000/- rupees gya.. tab kya hoga??

1st question agar mujhe BTST karna he aur mein 9pm ke phele us din pledge nahi kiya hun aur next day sell kardun any charge for that. 2question BTST mein 20% margin kis amount pe rakhna he jitna Mera wala tha ya 1time uska 20% ya 4time ka 20%
