It was Dabney Coleman, probably an older version of Chas who said it best, "You have a head start playing characters the opposite of your real personality because you know what they are." Rowan Atkinson said he most enjoyed playing Mr. Bean because he was the kind of guy he couldn't stand in real life. But if you play someone a little too close to your own personality, it's like wearing a loose fitting mask that can come off easily.

That is why I dumped my wife. After a series of strokes and a heart attack, I had to leave my job, and apply for disability. I'm going to start listening to this quote whenever something goes wrong with me and a relationship. It's true. It happened for a reason. I have to admit, this is something I’ve fantasized about for years. Years ago, I tried going out with some of the girls I worked with, but I found out that most were just looking for a guy to latch onto. Some seemed interested in me and we would talk, but when they asked about where I live and I told them I lived with my parents, they just lost interest. I remember one girl let out a really disgusted sigh. At that time, I was going to college AND working at the same time, but it didn’t matter.

Many young ladies expect a guy to have his life together because it supposedly shows that he can take care of himself and maybe someone else. What no one realizes is that it takes time and life for the average person will always have a setback.

@@teencritik5512 well think of it like this... you're a healthy person who got stabbed in the leg(got fired), got stabbed again in the back(got dumped in a tough time), and you think you can help yourself up with a pole, but it's greasy(a debt for your friend that he can't pay back). now you're crawling down the street, and a random person helps you up and walks you a couple of blocks till you can walk or limp safely(bartender pays the bill which for a person with no income, is a really big deal). now you're a person limping and need to get to the hospital but can't get there. then by chance, a person was at the greasy pole and lends you a cab ride and covers your treatment(your friend pays back 20 times what he owes you to start your project). Not only do you get successfully treated, nut you make a healthy recovery, but the back stab still hurts(you thrive in your business, and your ex gave you a lesson about choosing partners).

I felt the same way with the church that I grew up in, my old friends, then covid-19, and then a boyfriend that never did work out. God does close the doors a reason. He wants us to be happy with moving forward and not miserable in the same rut.

I seriously needed this video. I lost my job recently due to my mental health. My old job took advantage of me and treated me like crap, but I stayed because I was too nice. Then they turned their backs on me and let me go because I broke down during my shift and cried. Since then, I haven’t been able to work. I suffer from extreme anxiety and depression and have suicidal blackouts. I’m fighting for disability right now but I feel so useless. I can’t handle being around people because of those who have hurt me in the past, and I break down a lot. I always told myself that maybe God had my job let me go so that I could focus on my mental health, because since I left my job, I got all the unemployment money to be able to pay off all the debt I was in, and was able to help my boyfriend with his debt. I got acchs now after stopping getting unemployment, and I can see all these doctors and get the help I needed to heal, which I wouldn’t have been able to afford working my 9-6 job.

You know those times when you know you're gonna have a bad day bc something small has already happened? Well, ever since a few months ago when I'd feel like I'm gonna have a bad day at school I'd think "Shut up, you won't have a bad day today just bc this happen so literally chill out" and I know it sounds dumb but it works bc instead I ended up just having a weirdly chaotic day that was actually interesting and fun to experience. It's not easy for everyone but when I think like that it really changes the outcome of my day just by not letting myself have a bad day which is better than giving up and having a bad day. I know that was a LOT but it was worth putting it out there :)
