i bet this triggers a lot of memories for adults who have been thru the "care" system as kids , the abuse stays with a person forever , im so proud that those adults who been thru hell as kids but turn out to be amazing parents to their own children , many kids from broken homes grow up to be good parents .

I'll be a better parent than my parents (they barely let me go outside and when I do they yell and hit me they let it slide one time but I just want nice parents that let me know more about nature I don't even know what a tadpole and a cricket and a grasshopper is that's how much they don't let me go outside and they also hit me sometimes for no reason with they're hand if they are mad)

She used confidential and privileged information learned while working as attorney for the defendant to then go and represent the plaintiff using that same information. Clients are owed a duty of confidentiality by their attorneys. This is a cardinal rule of representing clients and she broke it. In real life it would lead to a bar complaint and, with how clear cut it is, more than likely a disbarment.

Wow. Im raising my grandkids and if theu dont get an A thats ok. I dont pressure them to get A's if they do we celebrate. If they dont its ok as long as they get a passing grade. I DO encourage better grades but I DON'T pressure them. Their parents are hard on them for low grades and punish them like Kimmy's mother did and NO child should be punished for not doing as well as their siblings.

i really hate that some foster parents just have the kids for the money. If there was a way for case managers to get assistance in their cases and a thorough background check on everybody who is a foster parent to prevent children from getting abused or neglected

Second story... Sigh. My father remarried several times, and one of them was my stepmother, who's deceased over 5 years now. It was hell on Earth growing up. She forced me to go to church, which is what Terminators do. She did not treat me with the same respect that she gave her own kids. Dad treated them like they were his own, like he did me. Stepmother and I used to fight a lot. She was a very vocal, physical kind when it came to fighting. There was one night when she cooked for us (I thought), set the food on the table, sat down, and then said, "Awright, get up over here, start cooking." I looked at her, then Dad. He put his utensils down and asked her loudly what this was about. It blew up right in front of me, and I ran to my room, crying, angry, cursing the one for giving me a demon for a stepmother and why didn't I have a stepmother like Michael's mother or Noe's mother. And F no, it wasn't over. The next day, I had to ride with her to the orthodontist over 50 miles away. As we were getting in the car, she was screaming at me, blaming me for the failure of her marriage. Talk about F gaslighting. When Dad died, she claimed that Dad willed and left behind $1 each for all four of us. I have that $1 permanently out of circulation in a frame, proclaiming the $1 that I was willed. She also did not give select paintings to one of my sisters that was promised to her upon his death and kept them all herself. When she herself died, she left us with nothing, and gave it all to her own kids from a previous marriage. (I came back to America from India on a visit for a few days to deal with this loss). Even the three of them were discussing the division of the proceeds from the sale of the house right in F front of me. See, one of the stepsisters offered me to take me by her mother's house to see what of Dad's things (not her things, Dad's) I wanted. I refused, on the pretext that "I couldn't handle it because it was too much for me." I refused REALLY, because I was pushed out of a company and compelled to resign from a part-time job (I'm profoundly deaf all my life), and I went on the road to search for a new start to life, but I ended up having to stay with my stepmother for a while. Towards the end of my stay, I started to see the old ways of fighting coming back. Fortunately, my travel trailer was finally repaired. When I left, she said, "Ok, be good." (holding a finger up as a warning) "Don't come back." I immediately replied with, "Oh, don't worry. I won't." During the 4 years I was still in America, I never, ever went to visit her again. She did come by near where I lived to visit on her driving somewhere, and we would eat out. It was a cordial, polite relationship that we worked hard to develop, but there was always that something underneath there that remained til the day she died. However, she had a massive stroke, and she was found on the floor in the bathroom, and she was taken to the hospital and then hospice, where she died less than two weeks after arriving there. I did manage to make voice recording for her daughters to relay to her. I was told that she smiled as she heard my messages to her. I had made a promise to her the day I left her house, and I was sticking myself to it in spite of the circumstances. Fast forward 5 years later, when I find out 1) that stepsister who offered me the chance to see her mom's house one last time had moved to another state and disconnected her phone without letting me know. She never answered her emails. She went back to the man who cheated my father of his opportunity to set up a game reserve in south Texas, treating that time period where he was close to us as a "vacation." 2) The other stepsister didn't like to talk to me much and would find ways to get off messaging, and 3) apparently, my stepbrother has disappeared... He and his wife doesn't return my emails nor my messages, asking them how they are doing with their plans to relocate out of the US. Nothing. It would seem that it was planned that they would distance themselves from me sometime after their mother died. I'm just glad that I'm closer to the end of this life than I am at the beginning. I'm 57... I'm ready to go home.

I need to add one detail. My stepmother was jealous of the fact that I, a deaf child, was fighting to do well in school (I did fairly well in school, stayed out of trouble, and even played music in all of the school programs that were available. I toured Europe twice as an orchestra percussionist while in high school) while her son, who is a bit older than me, was really struggling in his personal life and would do pot regularly. This problem became a nightmare when he freaked out in the middle of the night while staying with his older sister and her family (husband and two toddler boys). He was asked to leave to protect the boys. He never really got it together until he was busted for DWI and cleaned up in prison. I hadn't heard from him during that time, and his mother NEVER admitted to me as to his status as a prisoner. I didn't know about this until he told me himself, and I never let her know that I knew about his jail term. I also never told that stepsister that her mom had asked that I "don't come back." And I never will tell her. I walked out of this cleanly, with nothing bad between us. Again, I'm ready to go home.

Sorry but not at at all sorry to tell you that at 57 your are middle-aged at most in the 21st century. You have a lot more life to live and I sincerely hope that you escape your pain and resentment and live very happily. OR turn it into rage and destroy the effers. Whichever. Just use all of that time well! ♥️

I also know what it's like to be the child the parents don't want. I think we don't delay it I get all A's in everything at school and my brother gets F's but I get scolded because I get an A's but he an F's. It hurts the heart to know that you are not the favorite child or in any case the child that the parents wanted in the first place.😭😭😭😭😭😭😓

Some foster parents are just awful. Even my kids were hungry when they got home from school. So are the grandkids. I always have after school snacks and we dont eat at 7pm. We eat around 5:30. Then they get a snack before bed too

I can totally relate. .y mom used to play favorites. She favored my step brother because she had a perfect marriage with my step dad. Till he cheated o her 10 years later. She was never supportive of my writing. Never o ce said she was proud of me.
