In my study the best way of translating dharma is nature, Sanatana Dharma = eternal nature and Buddha Dhamma = awakened nature .... Our truest nature being divine; I use eternal instead of ancient for Sanatana, and nature instead of path or religion for Dharma, because I believe dharma as a concept speaks directly to the nature of being, so for example the dharma of a tree or nature of tree is to be what it is, the dharma of a knife is to be what it is; the dharma of a person is to be who they are and on the path they find themselves on. I'm not religious but I really respect the values of Dharmic religions. They promote peace, positivity and self-improvement.

Vedic Dharma is also agnostic in nature. God was never a goal in our culture. It was just the bhakti movement, sufism and Islamic invasion that resulted this God thing in our culture. O

GOD Is abrahamanic concept not hindhu concept hindus have reality concept( SATYA) One reality which appears multiple MAYA

Western side was not always Abrahamic. Our traditions before Christianity are very close to the Dharma traditions. I am an European polytheist and I hope that our natural views and old believes will rise again in the West.
