Synopsis by mydramalist
The story follows a lady doctor (Han Yun Xi) who marries into the royal family and gets caught in the political machinations in the palace whilst she falls into a romance with her husband. The story takes place during a chaotic time when the land has split into three kingdoms - Tian Ning, Western Zhou and Northern Li. The Emperor of Tian Ning is cunning and distrustful, and fears his own subordinate Long Feiye. To dampen his spirits, the King arranges for Long Feiye to be married to an "ugly" woman named Han Yun Xi. Han Yun Xi is a kind and talented woman who comes from a medical family and is adept with poisons. She is also forced into obeying the decree of the king and becomes a royal consort in name only. However, circumstances allow her to show off her skills time and again, winning the admiration of Long Feiye. At the same time, she also forms a friendship with Gu Qishao (Master of Yao Gui Valley).

Endingnya jelas kok itu, Legend of yun xi termasuk open ending, yg dimana sutradara ngasih kita 2 ending (eps 49 + 50) supaya kita bisa milih ending mana yg kita mau, di eps 49 yun xi masih hidup karena gelang peninggalan ibunya punya kekuatan magis untuk nyembuhin semua lukanya yun xi (berdasarkan novelnya), dan karena itu juga yun xi bilang kalo jasadnya gamau diliat sama long feiye, ada scene dimana gu xi shao pingsan sebelum ending terus ada yg ngambil gelangnya yun xi, di ending eps 49 yun xi muncul lagi pas lagi nanam tanaman obat, sedangkan di eps 50 long feiye bener-bener sendiri. Jadi bisa dibilang eps 49 itu happy ending, dan eps 50 itu sad ending. Sutradara ngasih pilihan buat kita nentuin endingnya yg mana hehe.

Today I came across scenes from the drama Legend of Yun Xi and I was into it. What I mean is that this drama looks simply wonderful. The music is beautifully moving and it hints at a painful ending but that's okay, I want to see it anyway because the story is probably worth it! Frankly, I'm amazed. I didn't expect to suddenly love Chinese dramas in this way but why not? I'll probably be a fan in the future 😂

watch it. I love Chinese drama while i don't like Korean ones. but Legend of Yunxi is one of the best i've ever seen as Chinese dramas. Romance, intrigues, court plot, great chemistry, pain, true feelings and true love. And she's not a damsel in distress, she's strong and determined even being in love.
