These papers reveal how Facebook has directly and indirectly being ignorant and encouraged hate and violence on their platform. How the Algorithms of Facebook have chosen profits over people and how Facebook has bowed down to authoritarian regimes across the world. Mark Zuckerberg has come under pressure after this expose. In this video, I explain the whole Facebook papers scandal.

As a parent of a a teen and a preteen, watching social dilemma was a real turning point. Combine this video with Social Dilemma, we can see why apparently Steve Jobs didn't let his kids access social media until much later! Social media can be anti social media - be aware.

The biggest hurdle is the fact that in India, the security and safety of a whistle blower is a mere joke. If someone tries to do so he/she is very susceptible to be found in a crash bin with their heads chopped off. Still we have some brave hearts who do it.

Frances Haugen: The thing I saw at Facebook over and over again was there were conflicts of interest between what was good for the public and what was good for Facebook. And Facebook, over and over again, chose to optimize for its own interests, like making more money.

One study she found, from this year, says, "we estimate that we may action as little as 3-5% of hate and about 6-tenths of 1% of V & I [violence and incitement] on Facebook despite being the best in the world at it."

You said it right, but what is the use?? Facebook has chosen profits over the humanity and human values. Facebook is not interested in reducing controversies /conspiracy and hate culture, rather they like to encash it. How many people around the world realize the selfishness of Facebook (WhatsApp ). People are very easily attracted to controversial issues and hatered amongst religions and communities. This weakness of human beings is very well exploited by Facebook (WhatsApp) at the cost of destruction of humanity and nations. It is high time we defeat the profiteering motives of Facebook /WhatsApp .

Now hearing this has made you mad for a second right. But we don't know if he is telling the truth or not . Even well educated people-My Eng tution teacher - someone from his locality complaint about the cracker beacuse he had heart problems, yesterday when many crackers were being exploder , we were having problem to study , but sir said "let it be , our neighbour becomes a heart patient if someone explodes cracker, it will teach him a lession". I stopped using it 6-7 years ago. I was very bad for my mental health. I used to compare my friends, family, lifestyle etc with others and feel jealous, negative etc, when I stopped using it, i felt relaxed and calm. So i agree with you strongly.

A Netflix series The Social Dilemma created by ex tech giants engineers and staff also pointed out this kind of similar issue our generation is facing today. This issue is new to us and our generation, maybe we do not know what is the solution for it but at least these tech giants leaders can sit down and take up some time to discuss the potential solution created by these AIs.

That's because Facebook and other social media including youtube taking their Advertising revenue for some years. Media companies hate social media because social media had more than 80 percent of ad revenue. Many newspapers company closed because of Facebook.

That is because there is still accountability and transparency that is present amongst the media network in America. There are many right wing propaganda spreading news outlets in USA like Fox News, OANN, Newsmax, they constantly put out misinformation and hate fuelled content , including Covid misinformation that has been directly alluded to causing deaths, even direct accusations and lawsuits pressed by COVID victims families who specifically mentioned that watching those channels made their loved ones become confused and hesitant for taking the vaccine. They keep suggesting that Covid mandates are forced rules pushed by Democrats and Biden administration. Fox news company has put out vaccine mandate policies that are known publicly , but their hosts still continue to evade the topic of their own studio mandates and instead claim that medicines like Ivermectin that are used as Horse Dewormers are efficient as alternative to covid vaccines , for those who are hesitant of getting the vaccine , either due to confusion or being fed the politically oriented lies. Simply put, they are ignoring science and politicizing vaccine guidelines.

I remember those days back around a decade ago in my school days when Facebook was a beautiful social media platform. It was made to connect people... thousands got touch with their childhood friends, families, and got to know how they are doing..... many relationships bloomed ❤️ from here. It was a directory literally to find people. Now see Facebook is getting into controversy for politics hate speech what not. I think it was made to connect people not protect democracy. FB should once again go to their basics.

I think the problem with Facebook not doing much existed way before that. I joined Facebook in 2012, and I saw a lot of violent, hateful and misinformation posts which were not taken down. The thing is, at that time, I used to believe a few of them, but later on, I realized that it was a dumpster fire, and gave up using Facebook after that.

Totally agree.. its human nature to find a scape goat and in this case it might be influenced by external entities. One should always try to read and research entire story before believing any news on social media but we are have been slowly but steadily hard wired to think less before acting. You ban Facebook and hate mongers will find another mediums to spread hatred , media is not the culprit here

I left Facebook a year ago when I and a friend of mine discovered a very strange algorithm in Facebook, we were just sitting and talking about laptops and then later when I picked up my phone I started swiping down the feed and found out a lot of laptops ads, I asked my friend 'what do you think are they listening to our conversation through the microphone?' and to check that, next day we experimented by putting our phone in front of us, we left the Facebook opened and started talking about cricket and after almost 15 minutes of conversation about cricket we picked our phone up, refreshed Facebook feed, started swiping and Facebook started to show us cricket jerseys and bats advertisements. Yes, the algorithm of FB is very irritating to me. It always shows the posts on the basis of my previous likes. Hence I've to aware most of the time, what I am going to like, how much time I am spending in particular post.
