►Turiyaavastha is a Sanskrit term that refers to the fourth state of consciousness, beyond the waking, dreaming, and deep sleep states. It is a state of pure awareness, in which the individual is no longer identified with the mind or body.
In the Upanishads, Turiyaavastha is described as the state of Brahman, the ultimate reality. It is also said to be the state of pure bliss, peace, and knowledge.
Here is a more detailed explanation of Turiyaavastha:
►Waking state: In the waking state, we are aware of our surroundings and our thoughts. We are also identified with our bodies and our egos.
►Dreaming state: In the dreaming state, we are aware of our thoughts and feelings, but we are not aware of our physical bodies. We may also experience strange and illogical events in our dreams.
►Deep sleep state: In the deep sleep state, we are not aware of anything. We do not have any thoughts or feelings, and we do not experience any dreams.
Turiyaavastha is beyond all of these states. It is a state of pure awareness, in which the individual is no longer identified with the mind or body. In Turiyaavastha, the individual is aware of the waking, dreaming, and deep sleep states, but he or she is not attached to them.
