《孤芳不自賞》由克頓傳媒藍鯨靈工作室、派樂影視傳媒、樂視視頻、花花草草工作室聯合出品，派樂影視傳媒承製，鞠覺亮執導，張永琛擔任總編劇，趙建瓴擔任總制片人。鍾漢良、楊穎（Angelababy）、甘婷婷、孫藝洲、于波、麥迪娜、亓航、鄧莎等聯袂主演。
電視劇《孤芳不自賞》改編自風弄同名小說，講述了一個戰亂頻繁、分合無定的亂世之下，戰無不勝的晉國鎮北王楚北捷和聰慧無雙的燕國「女諸葛」白娉婷之間的愛情故事。
本劇於2017年1月2日湖南衛視首播。

the royal blue color dress worn by Bai Lan princes is really beautiful. I love almost all the dresses made for princess consort, Bai Ping Ting and Bai Lan princes. The costume designer has done a real good job when it comes to picking up dresses for everyone.

It's a really enjoyable storyline...not in a rush flow...enjoyable natural environment, enjoyable relationships (not only the main leads but also between others), background music, background songs, traditional events...etc...Enjoyable love story ❤ too. Eventhough it's little bit long, I never get bored ❤ I never ever had such an awesome portrait in another drama 😀 😄

as much as i enjoy watching these drama's, sometimes i have to ask myself, how close or how far from reality are these shows, since as we all know, those of us alive now, where not around in the time period these are supposed to be done in. also makes me think it could of be a lot of fun to have been the fly on wall watch this all happen. and yes I know it is all just fiction but so much fun.

Wallace is a renowned actor, singer and dancer in China with millions of fans at home and abroad. He has lots of classics, The Sword and The Brocade is his newest period drama. I prefer “My Sunshine” over “All Out Of Love”. The female lead’s character in All Out of Love is a bit annoying, she can’t make up her mind between Cheng Tian You (Wallace) and her brother ! Do you know Wallace is multi talented ? He possesses 40 + skills ! Wikipedia has his information ( not as detailed as the Chinese version).

Love the plot, though too much details are omitted like how Bai Ping Ting keep her head up while being sitted. An unconscious person should have her head supported, otherwise the head will be slanting backwards.

之前看网评以为是一部烂片，最近宅家追哇的剧，就好奇这部剧到底有多差，结果呢，看得本人夜不能寐，平均每晚追十二集，真的很好看，明明是一部好戏，说实话，有时候差不差评的，你只有自己看了才知道，这部剧，除了特技后期之外，剧情设计，角色设定都很赞嘛！

The scenes where they used a computer-generated background rather than filming out in the field is very noticeable. I heard they did it to cut production costs because the sum they paid the lead actor/actress was quite high.

Not true, they didn’t do it to cut cost. The truth is the female lead rarely shoots outdoor scenes because the weather was too hot plus she used 4 body doubles in this drama, whereas Wallace and the others wore heavy armors and mink to shoot fighting scenes and galloping horse scenes in 40+ degree weather. Due to the unprofessionalism of the FL, post production had to use chroma key compositing, or chroma keying, (a visual-effects and post-production technique for compositing (layering) two images or video streams together )...

The young master life tragedy remind me with Mei Changsu from Nirvana in fire. Their family get framed as traitor n their clan get slaughtered n they lost a chance to be with the women they love. But too bad the young master sacrifice the princess who loves him so much to get his revenge while changsu will not harmed good people for his revenge. I can understand the pain that the young master through n he have right to have his revenge, but i dont like his way with sacrifice innocent people for his revenge.

He’s using the princess to get power, but killing the two young Jin princes, attempted to kill BPT a number of times, later on slaughtered all the guards just to kidnap BPT is pure evil, his motive is more than about grabbing power or for revenge. He could easily become the ruler of Bai Lan kingdom but he wants to be the king of all 4 nations. Emperor Yan wanted to eradicate the Jing An family for some time, CBJ was simply taking advantage of the situation to end the war quicker, saving the lives of the Jin and Yan soldiers, and the lives of the citizens of both nations. When at war, any good strategy available should be used. Besides, CBJ spared He Sheng’s life in the battlefield in exchange for his promise not to invade Jin again, HS broke his promise. CBJ spared his life again when HS lost the fight but he committed suicide in order for his son to revenge his death. CBJ engraved his name on the “tombstone “ out of respect, + he’s willing to bear the hatred/ revenge of the entire Jing An family for the peace of the two nations. He’s the real hero here.
