Dear host family, thank you for hosting me. My name is Maria Eduarda, but you can call me Madu. I'm 16 years old and I'm from Brazil. I'm so excited to have this opportunity to be able to collect moments and learn from you and to really be part of the family at this time. I am a very creative and curious person. I love my family and friends, the nature and I love playing sports. I like to study and I do my best at school.
I live in a big city called Porto Alegre which is in the south of Brazil. My state is one of the coldest in Brazil, but it doesn't snow, I hope to have snow there. I really like my city and the neighborhood where I live, which has a small lake where I go longboarding sometimes to look the turtles and read something.
I love to travel, I even dream of exploring the world. I love spending time with my friends and family, playing board games and eating with music on. I love playing sports and learning new ones, it makes me very happy, it's one of my favorite things. I love going out to discover new coffee shops, going to parks, making picnics, play ukulele, go to church, admire nature, I hope to do all this with you
My routine is the same almost every week. My school starts at 7:15am and ends at 12:30pm, including 6 classes and a break. On Saturdays I go to the youth group at my church and then to the service. I'm currently playing beach tennis every Wednesday after school and I'm really enjoying it. Sometimes I go to the mall, a park, a restaurant with my friends and family to have a break from routine.
My family is big. I have an older brother and sister and a little sister on my father's side, our relationship is very good, I can't imagine myself without siblings and without my family. Sometimes we gather the whole family at the family farm for a barbecue, pool and time in nature; I love it. My parents are divorced and I live with my mother, brother and our three cats(my sister is already married). In the summer, me, my brother and my dad like to play soccer on the beach. I love spending time with my family, it's very special.
I decided to do this exchange to create memories, meet new places, new adventures, new people, new cultures, adapt to a new way of living, learn a lot and become more independent with this incredible experience. I hope we can have a really good time together and that we can remember those moments forever. I hope that I can be the best version of myself, we can make a beautiful friendship together, with you being like a second family to me and we can live these months with intensity, living moments That will soon be memories.
