dude, the worst thing is the tempering. that shit will brick your item while everything can be reset even though it costs alot. i just bricked a perfect sword for my rogue with 3 great affixes

Great video and thanks for the math! Going for 3/3 Masterworking is definitely not worth it right now, I got incredibly lucky on that Amulet and had no intention on resetting it regardless of what it landed on.

Reset should cost 500k at most, not 5m, also resets should be for each rank. You hit affix you want in the first upgrade then if you fail 2nd you only reset 2nd round.

Ive been loving the heartseeker man. Its not quite as fun as flurry gameplay wise but man it slaps 💪🏼 ive got 4 sparks to make a unique but idk what to make 😂

That calculation works if you assume that the probability of hitting each affix is the same. But I have the shitty feeling, that some affixes have a lower probability to crit. Can‘t back that up of course, but I just spent 70 Mio. for the first crit on one affix. Statistically I‘d spend only 20 Mio. And this happend already multiple times…so hopefully your calculation is correct, and is not flawed by different probabilities! Which would suck!

Diablo really needs to allow us to reset tempers! The best piece I had got bricked and it’s sooo stupid how they don’t let us fix it like master working. I would trade all my Uber uniques just to reset the bricks

Thank you for the video. In terms of probability, yes you are right 4% is the probability you give crit on same affix twice. this is in general. But in this case it is 20% then 20% cause it doesn't happen in the same time. so its more like a 10% probability, I suck in probability but it seems more accurate in my mind. If the roll happen in the same time then it would be 4%. If the probability is calculated before throwing the dice its 4%. maybe it doesn't make sense mathematically, but thats how I see it. This shit is complicated no wonder why I failed probability in university. And to add insult to injury they have added 2D probability

Just a little more thing. For an unique item it’s a bit cheaper cause you have only 4 affixes instead of 5. As I’m poor, I begin by some of my uniques if they have one affix with a big weight. As the % life on my doombringer for my thorn barb 😉

would it be cheaper to masterwork when the gears it is still fresh with only 3 perks. Dont temper the gear yet, so that should be 33% chance. But also that you might brick when tempering phase. Might be worth a shot tho
