I'm personally really excited for the frozen orb build on Sorc. So glad to see several changes we recommended getting added to the game. The codex system change looks like exactly what we asked for so that's awesome

Same thing I thought when I first heard it. First I thought oh yeah an ok one hander aside along with Ramaladni's then they said it's not limited to barbs and immediately though damn rough OP. This will be a PvP beast.

Love that the old school D2 items are getting some love. I used azurewrath early on (lvl 13 I think) when playing 1.09 back in the day, was pretty fun.

I also found interesting, the two Uber bosses introduced are Duriel and Andariel...and its looking likely Mephisto will be the focus of the next Expansion. That's 3 of 4 D2 Act bosses.

Your damage gonna be poopoo! I would recommend only Azure, just crank up your Lucky Hit and attackspeed

use the icy alchemist aspect on top of this and that should be enough, consistency wise.

I experimented with a very different Cold/Poison RF rogue using Deathtrap and Eyes in the Dark (I know I know, nobody uses those pants) and had a blast in Season 2. It was fun to drop DeathTrap, lure elites into it, freeze them, and watch the trap fire over and over until they died.

Nice video. Ty Wudi. Also, I hope they buff the twisting blades rogue. I could one shot duriel with rapid fire/pen shot build, but it takes ages to kill him with twisting blades. The tb rogue is such a fun build too. Maybe azurewrath may help

I wish they would open the restrictions up even more so any class can use almost any weapon or shield. I would love to try Azurewrath on my cold sorc.

im thinking it will actually be useful for sorceror builds, im gonna try it for sure. that high attack speed will be really awesome for the new frozen orb builds. might be best in slot in my opinion

where is the TB build that compares to frozen orb sorc, dust devil barb, minion necro/druid, nado druid? i cant find it on the PTR so far, did anyone find a comparable Twisting Blades build to the others? thx

Thinking of doing a lucky hit bow rogue build with windforce and this. Yes i now wf is not the best but going to give it a shot anyways no pun intended. Any ideas?

Add godslayer on top of your build for 60% xtra dmg to frozen would be a good edition as well until u get the shako helm.

I don't know man, necro with sacrilegious ring with the shadow CE is a ton of lucky hits %. You also get cold mages that usually freeze things on their own, even without the ice rain aspect they can use.

I have tried the sword with whirlwind and the freeze is fun and it could have been fun if it wasn't for that whirlwind is weak if you don't have 3 uniques and 4 uber uniques. Whirlwind doesn't do any damage without magnum opus, a 1h mace and wallop. But it's probably very good for a hardcore rogue.

Azurewrath is such an iconic weapon, but up until now has been useless in D4. Looking forward to using this on Rogue in S4!

well if you played the game as its designed to play and farmed duriel like a madman, you would of seen it countless times :p or maybe u just didnt play barb since it was a barb only wpn

it wasn't avaialble from the start, i think its introduced since season 2 or something and drops only for barbarians. so if you're not a barb, you won't see it anyway

You can only get this sword on a barb because it is currently a barb only weapon. It drops very frequently from Duriel when you’re playing barb.

I’ve tried to make this work on barb so many times and it always just sucked. But the power fantasy of a frozen whirlwind or Hota build is just awesome to me

Rogue should have a grenade basic instead of seeker, then also an imbueable agility grenade skill. This would allow for a grenade Rogue. The druid has a great skill tree, the rogue has a skill twig.

Wait till after ptr testing and see if they listen to people. There is flaws that I can see happen and lack of end game still. If you got a hour or 2 a day to play, this game is perfect for you tho. The end game won't seem like a toll for like a month or 2. Campaign story is amazing as well. Its out on gamepass on the 28th so it's free then.

The game is way too expensive for what it offers honestly. If it was 50$ i’d say do it. And im big d4 non-enthusiast, but theres some fun to be had with the game, until there’s not and then you’re absolutely done with the game.

No. The season 4 hype is the same hype as all previous hype. The content will be dry within a week and the complaining will begin again. Sadly this game just isn't worth what they are charging and probably won't be for a year or more.

Why not use Frostburn gloves? It gets you Freeze duration and cold damage. Plus, it would stagger bosses even faster.

you sacrifice way too much for Frostburns. No +4 to whatever core skill you use, no attack speed, no legendary aspect of your choice that you need, and crit chance may or may not be useful to your particular build. They're not very good gloves for Rogue, as they are right now. In my current opinion, anyway. I could end up being wrong.

In terms of what, comparing damage specifically? Yes, always Doombringer is a survivability stick because of massive HP

None of the popular kids (streamers) like frostburn. Like, you "lose too much" at the gloves slot - important affixes and aspects. Idk, x60% + x20% damage always seemed good enough for me. But to be fair you don't need both, this can replace frostburn so you keep the gloves slot. @@americaswonderlands

@@Smhallwaysbut he has aspect on the gloves he said “you dont need anymore” i think frostburn go amazing with the build. Cold damage + freeze duration. Duration is huge for extra hits with extra damage. Plus you will stagger bosses much faster

Ok admittedly increased duration is qood, but it is not crucial. Enemies will usually explode very quickly after you freeze them. And if you free the gloves slot you can maybe even fit Grasp of Shadow then. @@kissrings

well I'm glad you're excited, personally I'm kind of livid they took away one of my classes' uniques and essentially gave up to another class rather than make changes and make Azurewrath useable on barbarians. If the devs changed barb's Enhanced Double Swing, Brute Force, and No Mercy talents to work with frozen targets this weapon would be perhaps usable on barbs. Maybe. Somewhat related: these three talents should also work with the Fear mechanic and Butcher's Cleaver would also be a more worthwhile item too.

it looks not really worth it for me to play this weapon in terms of the damage bonus, because you have to invest to much and you lose more then you get out. its a 20% chance on lucky hit, thats very low prog rate, even if youre at 100% lucky hit you have to give up the tempering affixes and also you can have better stats then additive stats also its likely much harder to get greater affixes on uniques then on other items. the damage is conditional, so youre only doing damage, when theyre actually freezed the boss damage will be very low, when the boss is not down you have to give up an aspect and a passive that is not conditional i still can see it worth, when the flat damage is pretty good, or in group conditions, when a sorc casts a frost nova and then youre only doing big phases for example also cc can be pretty healthy

Rogue needs a unique crossbow already...why the devs are holding any back is crazy to me. Because the bows suck ? They wont release crossbows becauee the unique bows are already not used? Thats the only reason i can think of. Its crap
