I am the Firebolt Sorc. Hysteria, has done Frozen Orb and Ball Lightning-those two videos on my channel are his character, not mine. I’ve written this in the description of those two vids as well. It is way too expensive and early in the season to create multiple maxed out builds right now.

Do you have a Chain lightning build that works. It seems like CL got screwed hard yet it's the only build I want to use and nobody has any good dmg builds that I can find.

I will be playing CL on the PTR tomorrow. I tried it last PTR and it was severely lacking so I didn't bother with it this season.

I noticed in the build planner you've got chance for frozen orb on the weapon and focus. Is that because you came from a frozen orb build and didn't find a replacement or was this a purposeful temper?

@aphrorox no problem. I've been looking to switch over from frozen orb and thought you might be having a hard time replacing gear as my luck with gear is terrible so I would definitely understand if that was the case.

Hey Roxy, when I hold down both fire bolt and flame shield keys together, flame shield doesn't cast after cooldown, what went wrong??

You don’t hold down flame shield with this build, only fire bolt.

@@aphrorox But how do you spam both flame shield and fire bolt together? holding down both keys doesn't work.. flame shield isn't up after cooldown..

Yes, stop holding down both keys. You only press flame shield when it’s off cooldown.

Both need pretty solid gear unfortunately. Lots of CDR and AS to help keep each build immortal.

@@aphrorox AS and Pyromancy AS adds up ? Or only AS counts ? Immortal shield needs around 50% cdr and 60 % AS ? How much does FS level count ?

They are two separate AS pools. Both cap at 100. You want as much of each as you can get. FS level counts around .1sec duration per level.

what is your flame shield duration? I see you have only 40% cdr, and can keepup the shield pretty much all the time. I guess due to the insane attack speed?

attack speed on this wont effect flame shield CD, only ice armor. it probably has to do with spamming ice blades on cooldown. its actually pretty tedious to press ice blades every 1.5 seconds.

5.87. Attack speed helps Ice Blades--which is what resets FS cooldown.

Can you please explain how can you maintain 10++ stacks of Conjuration Mastery w/o Unstable Currents active? I think I saw Ice Blades enchantment status bar at the end of the run, but that is capped at 6 isnt it? How do you cast spears or...?

ohh so we only need 40% cdr (given we have the ice blade thing too) i thought 60 from the other youtuber. but my question is does daze work on bosses? and can i just use esus boots since i got 3 GA from it (i need my crit rate as of the moment )

You need high CDR for all immortal builds. Ranks of BL on boots > Esus.

What do you mean? This barely cleared 117, when firekuna can clear 135++. Obviously this has waaay lower dmg.

@@robertvalenta422not all the time cares damage. Of course yes, but those firekuna and similars is done only for immortality of fire shield. Not good for defense and worst playing.

go read what flame shield does...and then notice it has 100% uptime in these builds....without this trick sorc is the dogwater class of the game...which sucks, cause i find it the most fun playstyles, well...that and melee rogue....which is pretty weak atm as well...blizzard spent a year of the game nerfing all the things that were the most fun to play on classes to basically force people to use the least fun builds as possible....just look at barb...all these stagnate builds with defensives polluting the skill bars.

This build doesn't seem to work unless you can get your flame shield duration to equal its cooldown time, a.k.a., have the absolute best gear, fully upgraded like in this video. I appreciate the build for what it can be when you've obtained everything there is to obtain, but if you aren't completely upgraded already, I wouldn't recommend it. I swapped over to this build as a test from the standard ball build and I'm getting insta-killed by even the most mediocre trash mobs the moment flame shield runs out, which never happened with the standard build; Max armor and 70-75 all resists with 18k HP. Usually I'd be able to tank 1 or 2 hits but I can't even complete T60 pit runs now because survivability depends solely on flame shield.

BL without raiment is just not crispy to play. but i understand why youre not using it of course.

Needs higher CDR to be able to equip Raiment.

@@aphrorox ya. just sayn. i really hate not using raiment on any build. i got raiment/shatter firebolt online but its definitely close on flame shield. i'd pay 100 bill for a single temper slot on raiment.
