Perhaps I missed it or you covered it in your other video regarding rune word bases, but I didn't hear any mention of the probabilities of rolling a particular # of sockets. It was my understanding that when you cube an item to roll sockets the game rolls a six-sided die. So if the item, such as a monarch as you used as an example, can only have a maximum of four sockets, then if you roll 4, 5, or 6 the game will give you 4 sockets because it cannot give you more than 4; this means you have a really good chance (1 in 2) of rolling the correct amount of sockets in a monarch to create a Spirit. This would be a big factor in determining when you want to use the Cube recipe over a Larzuk quest.

Yes if you have an item with limited sockets like a 2, 3, or 4 socket item the remaining rolls do go toward the max roll. Many people refer to it as a 50% chance of getting max sockets but it varies per item. I am grateful to you pointing this out as I had forgotten it in the video. I will pin you to the top in hopes others will see this =).

I used larzuk on my first monarch, second monarch I did the cube and got one socket. So unless you have plenty of monarchs laying around, larzuk might be a better option for you.

I have probably found about 20-30 Monarchs already since launch and give them away frequently with 4 sockets. I roll em in the cube all the time and it's basically a 50% chance at 4 sockets. Larzuk quest is a waste on a monarch shield imo.

I have only found 2 monarchs so far, maybe I’m doing it wrong or I didn’t notice it. I also feel that I play too much so I came to the conclusion that a lot of players won’t have the luxury of saving the larzuk quest.

I have a superior matriarchal bow (white) (does have plus to amazon skills) RAL+AMN+Perfect Amethyst doesn't do anything. I want to roll for 6 sockets. is there a different recipe for bows? Edit: I just realized superior won't roll doh!

You can cube it, but I am pretty sure it will roll max 5 sockets only. Not sure there are any 5 socket recipes for that bow. Maybe call to arms?

Can you larzak socket for an ethereal item? I.E. helm, armor

Yes he will do eth item too. People find exceedingly good eth items and zod them

i wated to put an topaz on a shield, but as i read on the TOPAZ shield gives you ligthing resist not MF. well good to know moment

yes every gem and rune has varying effects based on the item you will put it in.

I found a druid helm with +3 to shockwave, since I'm a shockwave druid I was considering socketing it for a lore helm. but I think I found it in nightmare so larzuk would probably give me 3. I guess the cube recipe is my best bet

I have completed that quest on normal. But did not socket yet. Can i save it for later or its gone now? Im on nightmare act 2. I was thinking not socketing on normal or nightmare difficulty until hell. Until i get a shako at least

You can comeback and claim any quest rewards at anytime.

Hey, with green texted items can you get runewords for them ?

Runewords can only be made in grey items i.e. a socketed white. You cannot put runewords in blue, green, rare or unique items

@@GGMentor I found a pretty dope Cedar staff +2 ES +2 chilling armor +2 Thunderstorm.. larzuk for 4os and put memory in it +8 ES +5 chilling armor +5 Thunderstorm! Although its not a +9 ES not having to put the hard points into cold armor and having thunderstorm too definitely makes up for it imagine if it rolled 3/3/3🤪

I dunno what I'm doing wrong :( I have a 4 socket grey ethereal and when I try to do fortitude it doesn't give it to me. And I'm dropping in the correct runes in the correct order

The chances of you having a LO rune, are very slim that rune is extremely rare and hard to find. In Diablo 2. The letters are always capitalized Capital L is always written L not l Capital I is written I not i Chances are you are trying to use the much more common IO rune thinking it is a LO rune.

I've been grinding for 10+ hours in mausoleum w/ 0 MF on Hell and cant find a Monarch to take to Larzuk :(

I recommend hell cow level honestly White monarchs drop there all the time. However if you need one badly just come join my live stream next one I find is yours.

No mancatchers Max Sockets is 5 so if you larzuk it, it will go to 5 not 4. You can try to roll it with the horadric cube recipe and see if you can get 4 but that is a gamble. 3 would be a good hustle base 4 Infinity base 5 Excellent Obedience.

@@GGMentor im a lvl 71 Summoner necro. My gears are as follows: Lore helm Smoke armor Spirit broadsword Unique shield (almost same stats with Ancient Pledge) Green gloves Unique boots Rare belt rings with FCT/resistance Amu with 13 to all resist

@@adrianroxas9772 ok so a summon necromancer can be naked and still do well in hell. It's all about point distribution. You want 20 in skeleton, 20 in skeleton mastery. At least 5 in summon. Resistance. 20 in corpse exsplosion 1 into amplify damage And the rest buffing up your clay golem. Later if you have extra points you want revives but it's not important. Your mercenary should be a might Merc from nightmare difficulty. And you need to outfit him properly so he can both survive and make kills for you. The might aura will enhance the damage of your skeletons and amplify damage will break the physical immunes. Gear you need to focus on getting equipment with + to skills. Plus to skills is everything to a summonmancer. Arm of king leoric is a great summon manner want, you could also use several other nice choices. Splendor is an easy +1 shield but there are tons of + to skill shields out there. Trangs armor has +2 summoning skills. Marrowwalk boots have +2 skeleton mastery The general premise is to let your army make a kill and use corpse exsplosion as soon as the first monster dies which creates a chain reaction of exsplosions until everything is dead. You CAN socket uniques in the cube. It just requires a SOJ.

#1 it's a habit from the old days #2 if I get disconnect or crash I want to be able to get back into those games #3 I want my friends to be able to join if they want to which is rather difficult when you need to give the a game name like 123151561235123213532 Trust me when I say that the first time you end up getting a good drop and crash before you pick it up and then can't log back in to your game because you don't remember it, you will understand.

Rushing and playing with high lvl players .... NEEDS TO END!! IT RUINS THE GAME AND MAKES IT TOOOO EASY TO PLAY AND GAIN LEVELS!!!! THEN YOU GET TO LVL 60 -90 .... then you don’t appreciate what it is and game gets boring/ old quick and people stop playing . This game self destructs itself with rushing with high level players!
