Forgive the really choppy and random ramble, just trying to document the whole process (I’ll try document in landscape next time).

Hi Ollie, I just wanted to say a huge thank you. Today is my first day on meds, Concerta to be specific. It's been a long process to get here - 22 months in total, or, depending on how you look at it, a lifetime of cognitive disappointment before this. But, based on the results today (I've been clear-minded, focused, with unimaginable levels of mental stamina - actually having a working memory - compared to just yesterday), I'm starting to finally have hope for the future. Something, after all this time, has worked! Your videos have been a huge help in getting to this point, so I can only express my gratitude. Keep up the amazing work and all the best in your own journey.

Great to hear your experience. Thanks. I have just got diagnosed with ADHD about 3 months ago, end now I'm taking 40 Mg (generic) Concerta in the morning, and 10 Mg (generic) Ritalin in the afternoon, and it has helped me a LOT - I have had no side effects not what so ever.

Thanks for posting these videos, I'm making my way through them. I was diagnosed with ADHD/ADD this week (aged 38) and will start on Elvanse soon. Your videos are really helpful so thank you again 👍

I was diagnosed with ADHD at 37 years old. It’s frustrating to think about how many years I lost. I feel like I came out of a 37 year prison sentence
@ollieedward6433 жыл бұрын
This is so true! Although mine was only ~20 years. At least now you’re getting the benefits though 👍

Dont look at it like a prison sentence look how you far you have come with this issue unaware and now you are aware. Best of luck buddy

Just started elvanse 30 mg yesterday, also 26 years old. Having bad comedowns in the afternoon like down thoughts etc. Does this stop the more days you take it?
@ollieedward6433 жыл бұрын
The comedown isn’t something I’ve had to deal with massively - not to the point where it’s majorly impacted my mood every day that is. From what I’ve seen/read others saying on this is that they have to build things into their day to lessen the severity of the comedown. For example, adding in exercise later in the day or taking 20 minutes to meditate when you know the medications effects will start to fade.
@ollieedward6433 жыл бұрын
But to answer your initial question ‘does this stop’ - it most likely will lessen as you get used to the medication but I think your lifestyle will make the biggest impact!

I just started methylphenidate xagittin xl, the last two days and my god what a dissapointment pure opposite what I thought no concentration and pure anxiety and restless like don’t want to touch them again, did you get similar?
@ollieedward643 Жыл бұрын
Yeah i was only on Methylphenidate very briefly because it made me a complete asshole. I switched to Elvanse early on.
@sbello3613 жыл бұрын
Do you have dry mouth and any other symptoms using vyvanse?
@ollieedward6433 жыл бұрын
To be honest, the only time I've noticed having a dry mouth is when I was on Concerta.. Elvanse/Vyvanse hasn't seemed to affect me that way! Are you taking medication too? Side effects I have noticed on Elvanse have been a 'comedown' in the evening ~10 hours after taking and an increase in the amount I'm sweating - but really nothing in comparison to the amount I was sweating on Concerta!

how do you drink on the medication, do you skip doses? i’m starting tommorow and have to drink at the weekend and am not sure what to do
@ollieedward6433 жыл бұрын
Hi Rubie. I actually don’t change my medication timing/dose on days where I’ll be drinking - I just make sure to go steady. Elvanse makes the alcohol much more potent, so just be careful you don’t have too much too soon!
