Actually you need a good oscilloscope to catch that . BMW uses fuel cut off to protect the cat media . Even with the scope they’re very tricky to diagnose.

Great video, thanks! I have a problem where i have no ignition at all (2005 e53 3.0i). The engine cranks, and i can smell unburned fuel in the exhaust. In INPA, is there a way to test the ignition circuits when I crank the engine? Thanks if you can help me!

I had similar problem with cylinder one but only on cold start. After engine got hot,error code never come back.

Hi, could you help me getting these software?

My 2004 545i shakes and vibrates on cold start at idle, I got misfire on various cylinders with the scan tool but no check engine light, after few minutes, the car stops shaking/vibrating. I did valve cover gasket and spark plugs, what can cause this shaking/misfire. I have also noticed that when I pull the oil dipstick out, car shuts down, is this normal ? Thank you
