This video will show you how to use the /dialogue command in Minecraft Bedrock! This command works in Versions 1.17, 1.17.1, 1.17.x, and 1.18.x. The dialogue command is used to pop out an NPC GUI instantly. This can be used in realms, servers, worlds, and more. This is compatible with Xbox, PlayStation, ps4, ps5, Windows 10, Pcs, MCBE, MCPEDL, and almost every bedrock platform.
/dialogue syntax:
dialogue open (npc: target) (player: target) [sceneName: string]

Sadly its not the ticking area its loading its the players ticking range and I myself have got no idea how to fix that but to place another Npc w a different name and using a command block w the same item to also open that 1 if to far.

Hello right 2 weeks later i got an idea set a command block so whenever a player drops the item it first summons the NPC using /structure load (structure block needed) and then it does the 2nd command block as /dialogue open @e[type=npc] @p and 3rd killing the item

@@pepper1739 aye i tend to do server type commands so when however i have not learnt much about NPC gui systems tho im trying to do other stuff thats similar using the titleraw to make a gui system with a armor stand so when you have chosen your option you can go click LT/L1 or if your on pc your right mouse right click and it’ll send a command through and make you do what you wanted to do. (Complicated tho if learnt can be valuable)

@enab0l434 yea I'm a console Boi on bedrock but I've made some cool stuff right I'm making a camera menu that allow my friend to be able to spectate people in 3rd person I got it to work by him dropping an item which summons a structure containing the npc above him 320 block in the air then when he click though the menu it kills the npc it works good but there was still one problem with it but I don't remember cause I kinda took a break cause I got caught up in other things let me see what the problem was this weekend and I'll get back to you

How to I make it so when u drop an item it opens the gui? Because once you get a certain distance, it doesn't work anymore. It's weird, because the creative menu's radius is further than the survival.

Get any items, rename it to any thing u want for example i want a compass ill rename it GUI then place a command block ----------------------------- (Command block #1) Repeat Unconditional Always active Command: execute @e[name=GUI] ~~~ dialogue open @e[name="Server GUI"] ------------------------------ (Command Block #2) Repeat Unconditional Always active Command: kill @e[name=(name of ur item)] Don't put the () if u don't know Also by the way rename ur npc of something u can remember and if ur keyboard doesn't have the symbol § i suggest just rename it like Server gui and if ur npc name has space put it like this "Server GUI" put " " this thing and if it doesn't have space don't put it

@@smellofcurry I know how to do all of these things, but when I try them it's weird. I added the ticking area, but once you go out of a certain area it doesn't work (I used the /tickingarea add circle ~ ~ ~ 4 command, and it works but only after a limited radius.) So I just added a command to it where it just teleports the person near the npc, and once their done, teleport them away. But if you can find a better fix. I'm on xbox. GT:EvilEmma215.

Yes just create a /tickingarea add (cords of your npc) (cords 1 block higher than your npc)

the name selector doesn’t work on NPCs. so you have to tag the npc, and then use the tag selector.

You’ll have to do type=npc,name=“npc name” that way it actually knows it’s looking for an npc.

@@sorgii this should work but it doesn’t. NPCs don’t get named the same way other entities do. So when you name an NPC and then go to distinguish the NPC via name, it doesn’t work. That’s why instead of using “name=“ use tag instead.

@@sorgii You could do /tag @e[type=npc,r=2] add TagName Just make sure your npcs aren't next to each other and make sure you are standing within 2 blocks of the NPC you want to tag.

Honestly, commands is almost dead. These days it’s considered cheating. And when in realm with friends, turning on cheats is like a bad things, so it seems. All the good commands are only with cheats.
