The BK3 dialogue is better except for the ending, because I think it’s cooler to say “You didn’t think I’d let you die, did you?” rather than “Quit whining, Sammy! The phony general is already in custody.”

The US localization of Bare Knuckle 3 is on some 4Kids level of unecessary censorship. Swapping colors around for the main characters (Why?) Removing the General's beard and changing his clothes just so to make him a Chief of Police (General Petrov too complicated for kids?) White House into City Hall for the bad ending (No idea, is the White House taboo?) Removal of references to nuclear destruction (low opinion of education?) Cutting out the last 2 levels if you played on Easy (Git gud son!)

honestly my biggest gripe of SOR3 is how it WAY under uses exclamation marks, literally in threat of dying and the cast goes "Ah. We must escape now."

The Bare Knuckle 3 original Japanese is so much better, better dialouge, better storyline, better design and better names, the western censorship is the most annoying thing out there, espacially for its increased difficulty!

I believe they change the story because they believe kids are using the game at the time I can’t blame the change. But then again this isn’t Nintendo. Who’s ever in charge of the change are responsible. The game are good regardless. But it’s just confusing when it come to the story.

Maybe I'm a weirdo but I like the lower stakes story of the Sor3 version. A group of cops and a little boy trying to stop an international nuclear holocaust is a bit too much.

Yeah make it lower stakes but don’t dumb it down to “oh no there are cyborg imposters throughout the city!!”. Don’t know what they were smoking when they thought that up!! Terrible!

@@sturycroft Actually It was average film plot back in the day. A city P.D. Some mega corruption involving an alliance of a tech corporation, criminals and the police. And a group of a couple police officers with honor in the badge and a some friends to be the heros and save the day.

I always hated what they did to the north American version of rage 3, not just the gender neutral garbage colors. The gameplay, and sound effects to. My friend liked it, but I didn't. And I didn't play bare knuckle 3 up until a few years ago, through emulation. Fully translated to, but we got screwed here in North America by Sega. Big time

Cuando jugué ambas versiones creía que la versión en inglés decía las mismas palabras que la versión japonesa. Pero al traducir la versión japonesa noto muy diferentes los diálogos. No solo censuraron y modificaron a las chicas con poca ropa. También quitaron a Ash, personaje claramente gay y transformista.

You didn't feature either of the Bad Endings, from letting the Chief of Police die or completing the game on easy mode or the dialogue when the Chief of Police dies.

Bare Knuckle 3 is the best Streets of Rage sequel in the entirety of the Series! Why the American version was fucked up? They edited many things which made the game ugly!

Rakushin is not only a valid romanization but the official English name now, so it's fine the way it is.

@@DeskoDev No it's not. The element was called raxine in the English translation of Project X Zone 2. Rakushin isn't even a word or term found in the Japanese dictionary. The fact that it was always spelled in katakana was proof enough it was a loan word or transliteration of a non Japanese word. SOR4 devs got this wrong by going with a fan translation.

Personally I think Laxine would be better. When translating Japanese Katakana, I think some English-like words are better with an L sometimes.

The SoR dialogue has better sense than BK3 Rescue the chief of police its more accurate than a russian general The plan of mr X also its better, rule the country with clone robots SOR3 > BK3
