I continue to be impressed with the DA62 based in large part to your videos. Cockpit looks expansive. It is. Attended the U.S. Aircraft Expo and sat inside the 62 . Whoa, was there a lot of room. It was sweet. Really enjoyed the conversation with the guys showcasing this beauty. Great video.

People complaining about how small the cockpits are in MSFS 2020 and this video shows it's actually very small. Look at how the pilot's knee is sticking up.
@MarekMarciniak
@MarekMarciniak 2 жыл бұрын
It's not a small cockpit at all. It's very comfortable for a person 6 feet 2 inches tall like myself. It's as comfortable as a " cockpit " of a small SUV and more comfortable than 90 % of general aviation airplanes. And people actually complain about the size of the cockpit when playing a video game ? That's new to me 😁

Love this video, many thanks! I can no longer fly in RL but the 62 has become my goto craft in FS2020. Sadly the built-in is pretty bad, but someone created a quite decent one as mod. It was interesting to compare while watching you: the mod seems to display a lot of pitch change when dropping gear or flaps, whereas it looked like you didn't need to adjust trim or anything. Oh to be still able to fly - and be wealthy enough for one of these! There hardly seem to be any in Australia, so I can't even find one to beg the owner on my knees to take me up for a joyride.

It's a wonderful plane to fly for sure. A perfect GA flying machine. As for the trim - it does change a little when flaps and gears are dropped - if the autopilot is engaded - the computer will actually adjust the trim for you ( you can see the trim wheel moving forward).

this is one of the twin engine planes i have in mind, and i love it. the baron is great, but the seats look uncomfortable, and i love the fact that the da62 uses jet fuel, which is cheaper. as far a single engine goes, i have to make up my mind on what i want, but I'm locked in on this one. i plan on buying in 3-4yrs tho

mainly for approach plates and to act as a backup. I also find Foreflight easier to use than Garmin when it comes to finding all sort of information like FBO' s info, fuel prices, airport advisories etc Thanks for watching.

This plane is a blast to fly on Flight Simulator 2020. Got about 10 hours in so far in it. Why fuel pump on? Curious, i thought they'd only be on for engine startup? Nice video Marek!
@MarekMarciniak
@MarekMarciniak 2 жыл бұрын
You use them for takeoff and landings. Simply for redundancy incase engine driven pump fails.

Nice, thanks for posting this, going to try flying it in FS2020, how do the constant speed props work on this AC? Didn't look like you had to adjust the pitch at all.
@MarekMarciniak
@MarekMarciniak Жыл бұрын
DA62 controls the prop pitch automatically. You only have 2 levers that let you set the % of load 0 - 100 %. The prop and mixture controls levers don't exist in a DA62. FADEC system takes care of that for you.

@@MarekMarciniak Hey Marek, I hate to bother you again but is there a cheat sheet for the % power settings on this beast? Not as simple as looking at the rpms like on the cessna. Trying to figure out where I should be sitting in slow flight in the pattern, on a 3 deg descent clean, with 10 deg flaps and in full landing config. Things happen so quickly with this AC hard to understand how to control it especially being a sim with so little feedback other than instruments, engines don't really tell me a lot by sound alone with the % power changing on it's own, cheers.
@MarekMarciniak
@MarekMarciniak Жыл бұрын
I would normally go to 40 % of power at FAF, that power setting will give you a nice, stable approach at around 110 kts and flaps in approach position, Then , at around 200 feet I will put flaps landing , decrease the power to slow down to about 90 kts over the numbers.
