Thanks for experiments!! I really love the two sided plastic but I have used the parchment paper but you can't see your project as you go so I save all of my plastics films!! Thanks for sharing!!

I have thought of a way to eliminate bubbles and rivers entirely. If the canvas comes with double sided glue, order it without the glue, purchase a roll of the double sided glue from AliExpress and apply it yourself. If you apply a strip only as you need it, you don't have to worry about the unfinished portion of the canvas getting damaged if you roll it up. Most of the factory stores will ship the canvases without glue if you request it.

Denise Bentley be careful and check which side is the top, i put stickers on so I lay the right side down on my painting.

I did the Mario one in a 60 x 80 for my nephew for Christmas. Used parchment paper on it, and after using a yard stick to lay it down; it actually helped work out some of the rivers that were in it. Great video to let others know there are different type covers out there.

Thanks for doing this, it's very informative. Personally, I have found that some plastic can have a wrong side, too. I just put a piece of washi tape on it before removing it from my painting so that I know which side to lay down.

I had bad luck with parchment paper not keeping rivers and bubbles from appearing on two evermoments laid flat. However, they were stored in a room that doesn’t have good temperature control, so that may be the bigger issue than the parchment paper. I’ve had no problems with it on poured glue.

I use the diamond painting release squares from Wish. It's very similar to opacity covers of double sided adhesives.

Which is what I am trying to avoid since they seem to create issues, I am looking for a solution that will assure your canvas stays perfect when stored.

I was watching the new video you have on & the i had these, last week I think it was... I opened “madame chic” after having her a while and one whole cover corner had gotten ripped so the (I can’t remember the person’s name) method with the washi tape that you showed came in handy for me so that I could keep the clear cover & it’s worked so far very well and I appreciate that you had shown it, I’m going to do that method after I turn the solid paper over on my newest painting from AliExpress & it’s a geisha that I have an antique picture of an actual print just like the diamond painting I got recently while I like the see through too I think one of those solids turned over & that method is good for them and I love it 🥰 thank you!

This was a great experiment...thank you for sharing this. I bought non stick parchment paper rolls. I cut it to size pieces I want to work with. I haven’t stored any of my diamond paintings with the non stick parchment paper yet. I have a double sided tape dp I will store with the non stick. I’ll see how it works 😊

the new rumor is that the poured glue has acid which will turn the canvas yellowish in the future...do,u know anything about that ?

I've been Diamond painting for 2years, 95% of my Canvases are Diamond Art Club which use poured glue, My oldest canvas is 2yrs old, No Yellowing of the glue.

I don’t think all parchment paper is created equal. I replaced a DP with precut squares, 90% of it released, 10% stuck and left torn paper. Wish they would indicate before buying which way it will come. Love the poured glue! Do u think the roll of release paper u had would be reusable?

Then you didn't put Parchment paper on it, Because Parchment doesn't stick, but Wax paper does. I have heard Dollar store Parchment paper doesn't work

Hi. My name is Jennifer. I bought a diamond dotz painting and left it in storage and I when I got it back out it was wrinkly. How do I get the wrinkles out? Or do I just follow this video?

Diamond dotz is a great brand and poured glue, so all you have to do is roll it the opposite way and store it under something flat, or you can take a warm towel from the dryer and lay it flat on it to relax the wrinkles
