I remember my first square. I researched a couple channels for suggestions like staggering checkerboard style and aiming for placing along the corner first. I also found it a lot easier with a curved single placer. At first it was a mess and all crooked, at least that's how I felt but the next morning I tackled it again and realized the more you place the more they keep each other in line ❤. Still I'm like you, either or, as long as the picture speaks to me!
