Diamondbolt's character arc in this one is truly fantastic. He went from a Minion hater at the beginning to someone who thought they were the best part of the third movie at the end. Superb writing.

There was a short film made for the first movie to explain that the minions were genetically engineered to work for Gru, but the Minions movie retconned their origin so they could do something with them outside of Gru.

Honestly the HTTYD trilogy is far better in terms of quality and storytelling and even animation and should deserve the most successful animated franchise title. Don't get me wrong I love Despicable Me, it's a great and fun trilogy, but HTTYD is just better in every way.

Funnily enough, I have a weird situation with Despicable Me 2. Around the time when I got the movie on DVD, my family had planned a vacation to take our Trailer to a lake. And since it didn't have tv service, we had to only watch movies. But for some reason, we brought Despicable Me 2. So I had to watch that for 3 DAYS STRAIGHT! And the funny thing is, all these years later, I still like it and consider it my favorite of the trilogy

I’ve always liked Minions, and they’re always a blast. Most people who hate them just think they’re annoying because they never had such blatant comic relief in more mature things. Then again, I also love Cars 2 and don’t understand why it’s so hated. So maybe I’m not the one to give advice.

Sonic 1, CD and 2 remastered are peak mobile games. Finally playing Hidden Palace Zone is peak kino. Now I am just praying to get the Origins version of Sonic 3 & Knuckles on iOS. Alongside the Sonic Origins Plus features like Amy in all the games and Knuckles in CD.

So about the whole “Minions origins” thing… it’s all true. They existed since the dinosaurs, Gru eventually got them, then he used corn kernels and their DNA to explode their population. If he wasn’t so Despicable, Gru could cure cancer with his genetic engineering expertise.

These movies have there own moments where they shine such as in despicable me 2 when gru is happy and is nice to everyone and has a life changing event causing him to become depressed and do the exact opposite of what he did earlier that day which made me cry. Overal this franchise isn't all that bad sure it has its bad moments but nothings perfect.

I’m leaving this here in anticipation for the next Diamondbolt video on The Mean One. I know one of the screenwriters (not personally) from having been in one of their plays as a school production, Flip Kobler has a studded career of Direct to Home Disney Sequels, and Star Trek episodes (alongside his wife who was not involved in The Mean One unless she’s responsible for Finn Kobler, i couldn’t find out) boy did it show especially in his attempts at stage direction. i curse his name.
