You know what the funniest part is? All the monsters in the game (aside from the piraka and maybe the other bosses) are matoran turned into various bionicle bad guys. So really Bionicle Heroes is about the utter genocide of matoran islanders by the hands of the very toa that were supposed to protect them.

This game is basically just one big reference to the series up to this point, which makes it kind of interesting. It was cool fighting baddies like Nidhiki and Krekka, among others, even if the Inika had no business fighting them since they were both long dead. Also, the Rahkshi's arms in this game are legit impossible to make with actual pieces.

I think people like Matoro because of how he suddenly became a bit of a badass in the Mahri half of their legends, and willingly sacrificed himself to not really quite *save* Mata Nui, but really to resuscitate and put Mata Nui back on life support. The way he did everything just screamed "Fuck you" at all of his enemies in a way that really couldn't be hated on.

I was always a huge Bionicle fan, basically memorizing the lore (give or take a few Dark Hunters). When it died, I filled the void with Transformers. Basically, when I fanboy over something, I fanboy hard.

handy tip diamond bolt, Matoro, Hewkii, and Nuparu are slow at moving and reloading but deal heavy damge, Jaller, Hali, and Kongu are fast to move and reload, but deal light damage

A little tip is that when you lose a mask in this game, every single one of that mask will respawn on the entire level. So if you kept using Matoro, whose mask was in easy reach at the boss, you would basically be invincible.
