You all should do a video on the Metallic Mocha LPX GN 210 coming off the line towards the end of February! Loaded to the gills with a custom GVWR of 23k

It will have 18ply tires plus pipe spool

Great question! Looks to be 20' but has the option to go as long as 26' in a bumper pull. 😊

I plan to purchase a new gooseneck flatbed trailer sometime this year. I have compared three models of Diamond C, Maxx D and PJ. 1. Diamond C - Model FMAX208 - 26 foot - this trailer would fit my needs perfectly, but no tilt bed or hydraulic tail option 2. Maxx D - Model TSX Tilt Gooseneck - 26 foot - 12 degree tilt angle 3. PJ -- Model T9 - 26 foot - 17 degree tilt angle I really like the curved neck and camber of the deck / frame on the Diamond C. However, I want a tilt bed, which Diamond C does not offer. Diamond C needs to offer hydraulic tilt beds on tandem single gooseneck trailers. So, looks like I will be buying a Maxx D.

Diamond c does make a gooseneck tilt give the DET208 with the gooseneck package a look

That would be a question for diamond c but I’m assuming it’s because it’s not a engineered frame trailer

@@rhettpardini4294 I called Diamond C today. A tilt bed is available on the DET model. However, the DET model still has the welded structural neck and the curved engineered neck will be available on the DET later this year. The DET does not have the have the slight camber - engineered deck and frame. The camber deck and frame is on the FMAX 208...the trailer I wanted...but no available tilt frame.

Alright good to know and that does make some sense that the tilt bed wouldn’t have the camber to it. I could see the engineered beam being something they may add in the future specially since they’ve added it to some of there dump trailers maybe they will add it when they change the neck? Definitely good info to have tho thank you for sharing it I’ve been looking at the tilt bed myself I have a 25’ Fmax210 and love it I’ve been looking at other trailers and nothing is built like the diamond c trailers

Why are the 208's 2" skinnier than the 207's and 210's? Just curious. I'd also love to know how high off the ground the low point of the dovetail is when configured this way. The dimensions on the website don't show this. Thanks much!!

Hey there! The difference in brake width from 7k to 8k and 10k's only come as a straight axle set-up. Going to a 8k straight will get it back to 82". This will be high enough to clear normal road conditions, hope that helps!

@@diamondctrailers I really appreciate your replies, I guess I'm confused about what exactly a straight axle is vs torsion. I was associating straight axles with spring. Might be a good option for a future video.

@@tobyandcarol we definitely should make a video! There is both straight or drop in both torsion and spring. Straight is 4” higher deck height than drop. The only axle that is torsion only is the 10K axle and it is straight only due to bed width restrictions.

You guys build beautiful trailers, but you just aren’t marketing to us guys with 10-11400lb gvwr trucks trying to stay under 26001lb. That thing is a tank. We need engineered trailers that weigh 2-3000lb with gvwr’ s of 14900lb.

If you're towing on a regular basis just go get you're CDL. Its super cheap and easy to get. I did the class and took the test and it took a week and was less than $2K for the whole thing.

@@isaiahherman7364 no thanks. When did you take yours? With the new mandatory class they are like $5k, plus our state requires you to pay extra fuel tax and file quarterly.

@@mark_Hershey i did mine in 2019, I'm in California, the class was $1900 and the dmv test and paperwork was like $50-100

@@isaiahherman7364 I think yours is a little different. Cali has their own more stringent rules like cdl for a trailer over 10k and making rv guys get a non commercial cdl. In most other states you don’t need a cdl until 26001 business related and no cdl for any weight private. But last year a law was passed federally requiring a school and all schools jumped to $5k.

Dealers can also “down rate” gvwr so the trailer stays under the combo limit. You’d still be at risk of being weighed, but at least empty they won’t have issues. Honestly I don’t know why that’s not the law in the first place, this idea of “potential” limits is kinda weird
