When David is not running an advertising and marketing company, his hobby is The Bond Experience which is primarily a video blog where he discusses Bond experiences and the people and brands that help to create those experiences...
David has been featured and sourced for articles in Time Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Courier Times, USA Today, Star Magazine, MM&M, The Exchange, The Guardian, The New York Times, Bond on Bond, American Media Inc., AP Wire and online social media outlets. David has been a speaker at Johns Hopkin, Hofstra University, Columbia as a Bond Experience expert. His collection represents one of the most complete example of Bond lifestyle items. Invited to cover Tom Ford, Omega, Heineken, Coke, Orlebar Brown, NPeal, Floris, Lock & Co., Sunspel, Turnbull & Asser, and a multitude of location partnership events, David has represented social media experiences for many years. In addition David has provided props and decor for Johns Hopkin Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace Premieres as well as the Devereaux Foundation 007 Fundraiser. The mantra of living like Bond, one moment at a time emanates from a concept of experiencing the joy of collecting small moments in life that add up to amazing journeys and stories....

Fantastic discussion. Strongly back David that you can't judge a piece written well over half a century ago by today's (ever changing) standards, obviously. The audience should be trusted to take the wider and more intrinsic value from each piece.

Never read the novel.. but could Sid Haig's dual roles in the DAF film be a very loose nod to the Spang Brothers?

10 minutes of jibber jabber and padding, then into the substance. Really great from then on.

Just finished it, felt like it lacked some polish. I like the setting, gangster diamond smuggling, the mud baths, Bond's constant underestimation of the gangsters as an adversary, and Tiffany Case. I'd give a solid 7- plot wasn't as good as CR, the adventure wasn't as exciting as LALD, the villains aren't as good as Drax and his crew. Fleming's work improved as the first 3 were written, but DAF feels like a slight decline.

As a female Bond fan, who is also a lesbian, I loved how your discussion covered feminism and homophobia!! These book clubs are so entertaining - keep up the awesome work.

Just read the book (having seen the movie before). Although it has some flaws, it was quite good. Unlike the movie, which is terrible. The movie plot is just ridiculously stupid and so many things make no sense. I don't know why they didn't follow the book more closely. To shorten things up they could have skipped Saratoga and gone from New York to Las Vegas.
