A friend declared that 2023 should be stress free!!! I am totally trying it out. Things will happen if and when they do. By the way, we all need a break now and then. It's a healthy thing!

Enjoyed your WIP. When you work outside the home, you get vacation, sick , and personal days. Allow yourself the same! Take a week when you need a week. It makes you feel better. 🧚‍♀️❤

I'm a Canadian and I dislike summer so much. Heat/humidity( Ontario), bugs and bird poop - hate it all. You aren't alone. I'm so happy I got this kit - got it in rounds to match the size of the last one I got from the same artist.

I'm exactly the same way you are about heat, summer and all that, including the migraines. I am a human barometer for any extreme heatwaves coming our way (which is all the time during the hotter months). When spring comes along I start preparing for summer hibernation mode. I live in a hot (most of the year) and very humid climate, so, yeah, not fun at all!!! Totally understand what you're saying about body heat regulation, sweating and I feel for you!😢 Here's to "surviving" the summer!!!🙏🏻🧊❄️☃️ Talking about our mental health out in the open is truly important. Being able to go to therapy is such a blessing, and if meds are also required to help with balancing your mental psyche, shame shouldn't be involved around it. People take meds left right and center for anything and everything. Why do those meds related to mental health are considered shameful. Mental health is as important if not more so than physical health. .

So glad you got the break you needed! We all need to step away from time to time. As far as yard work.....I will do anything else. I HATE to work in the yard. Here in Texas we have so many bugs, snakes and lizards that I spend more time running away than working. Ugh!!! Hope you have a great week! 🧚🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️

Thank you so much for me to know that I’m not alone, to be cranky in the summer. I love Spring and Fall ❤ the summer not so much. It’s like my body can’t get rid of the heat and I’m boiling up. And I love the nerdy stuff 👍 Love from Denmark ❤️🍄🧚‍♀️

Good morning Katie, glad you took the week off. I love statistics. I am very analytical. Got my Cadillac ATS fixed last week. The Cadillac CUE went out. Plus I needed General maintenance on the car. Well, the car is eight years old. Also had a new electrical panels put in my house. My caregiver left for Idaho. Her Granddaughter is graduating from University there. Well, at least I won't have my caregiver yelling at me for anything I purchase. The only way I can purchase anything Diamond painting related is to ask her for permission. I am 66 years old. So is she Have a wonderful day

I too took a (unplanned) break I haven’t diamond painted in a whole week which is a first for me! I had to fly to Ohio for family stuff and didn’t bring anything to work on with me. So I very much missed it but had other things to do. Watching your wip and chat was a nice way to get back into it, gotta make some progress on my dakotathon piece. 🧚 🍄 🧚‍♀️

Hi Katie. I’m working on Magnolia Moon DAC. Almost done. And my A Fairy Friend came today (Spangler ). I finally ordered some Simply Gilded washi tape and wow, what a game changer. As a square diamond painter girl, I am not surprised by what you found with your little experiment. I do rounds if I absolutely love the image, and I do feel like they go by faster ....but I don't have it in me to actually try it out 😅. But I do love that image! I was unable to purchase a Marvel image do to being out of work from being sick, but I can't wait to see the videos and need out with you! 🧚‍♀️🧚

I am not a fan of of the hot weather either. We live in St. Louis and the humidity can be unbearable at times. We lived in San Diego for about 8 years & late summer/Santa Ana winds was an awful especially without central air! So glad you were able to take some time off! I look forward to the upcoming events thank you again for hosting them 🧚🏼‍♀️🍄

Yes Katie I did this with a Dakota and came to the same conclusion but I was doing 2 different pieces, but same 10 cm block since I always section off in 5 cm section and work 2 at a time.

🧚 I am finishing up MM’s Cinderella from DAC. I am actually happy that you aren’t doing your first video until May 8 because I will be finished by then with what I am working on. My littlest, who is 7 is home sick today and I decided to let him pick if I would work on Glorious Purpose or Balance next…and he picked GP! Glad you had some good time off.

I definitely would be intrigued to test your hypothesis when I can get the funding and when the kits come back in stock. I know I prefer squares over rounds so I'm curious if that factor will change the time it takes to do them. 🧚

My spice tolerance is a bit fat zero, my mouth just can’t take spicy 😅 my fave diamond painting snack I’m currently obsessed with is an apple with cookie butter & mini chocolate peanut butter cups from trader Joes OR those ube pretzels also from trader Joes. As a Canadian I’m only down states once a month so best believe I grabbed 5 bags of those seasonal ube pretzels 🧚‍♀️🍄

I always enjoy your WIP’n Chats. I’m glad that you were able to take the time down and recharge. Funny that you talked about feeling out of practice, as I can relate. I took a week off of DPing because I was waiting for an event to start and didn’t want to start something else and have 2 projects going. So I had a very productive week and did a lot of adulting, but oh how I missed DP’ing. It was torture, lol. So when I could finally start for the event, I felt out of sorts for the first section. I got my groove back pretty quickly though. Other than that, I’ll be starting book 4 in the CoTaR’s series this week and I’m excited for that. I hope your week will be a great one! 🧚‍♂️

Every time you mention that Conner is in gen ed, I always keep thinking he’s in college now😅 because the only time I’ve ever heard the terms “gen ed/general education” was when it was referring to college classes that every student has to take to graduate undergrad, regardless of their major or minor. You’re the first person, that I’ve heard that term for kids in elementary school. 🍄🧚🏻‍♀️🧚🏼🧚🏾‍♂️

I am also planning to do Dr. Strange. ❤ I will probably start next week as I am finishing up Dakotathon. I am glad you took a step back to avoid burn out. We need to do better taking the priority to take care of ourselves.

if you want to help others you have to help yourself first. There are times when you need to "stop and smell the roses", to look around and enjoy family and surroundings. As far as the two different drills, take advantage of the situation, kill two birds with one stone and do both colors at the same time lol. I actually want to see the progress of the cross stitch conversion and watch it progressing, (maybe film it for you regular Monday, Between events of course).🧚‍♀🧚‍♂🧚
