Good day, Capt. Please help me out here. I'm seeing comments all over the place regarding her octave range from 3 to 5. Which is accurate?

@@user-sw5ot9wv9p The last time she measured herself when she was 18 years old her range was 4 Octaves, her effective range (the range she can comfortably sing any note without stressing) is 3.5 octaves. We have videos of her going all the way up to the 8th octave (That is 6 octaves range) but without sustained notes we can not include these in to her arsenal yet. She does not measure herself now because it is pointless, she is still young and her voice changes constantly, once she reaches the age of 25 then her voice measurement will be more accurate even though a Contralto's voice continues to mature well in to her thirties. So to answer your question currently the most accurate answer is 4 octaves which is still insane if you think that she is only 20 and the fact that she is a Dramatic Contralto with a 4 octaves range. For a comparison Angelina Jordan who is a either a lyrical Mezzo or or a Dramatic Soprano never showed anything beyond 2 octaves range.

@@user-sw5ot9wv9p If i ever find the time i would like to make some videos where i explain some simple things about octaves and ranges because many people either overestimate or underestimate these things because they have no idea how they work. Some people think that anything less than 5 octaves for example is nothing but the truth is that 3 octaves are already extraordinary, Celine Dion for example has 3 octaves range and she is one of the best singers that ever walked on this planet, Diana already had 4 at the age of 18. People attribute 7 octaves to Dimash while the truth is that he has 4.5 octaves range and he can sing selectively whistle notes from 2 octaves up, that does not mean that he has 7 full octaves range, that also does not mean in any way that he is a lesser singer. Any way what i want to say is that 3 octaves range is considered already rare, a handful of singers in the world have 4 octaves and most singers have 1.5 to 2 octaves range. As for a Dramatic Contralto with 4 octaves range it is really unheard of, Diana is one of one.
