Firstly, Diana dedicated this video to Victory Day (May 9) - this is the largest and most memorable holiday in Russia. Secondly, almost everyone in Russia knows this song, and you guessed it, the song was first heard as the soundtrack to the film Shield and Sword in 1968. Thirdly, Diana’s adoptive family takes part in the video, which is why it is so imbued with the sincerity of love for the Motherland. Fourthly, this song has been remade, with new colors in Diana’s voice, it immediately hurts my soul and brings tears to my eyes. Taking all these points into account, this is 10 out of 10.

I hope you understood that the video perfectly illustrates the song's answer to the question "Where does the motherland begin?" The song's basic answer is that the (love of) one's motherland begins with the mutual love of one's family. The other people in the video are Diana's closest family, being her grandmother, mother, sister and nephew. The video is Diana's homage not just to her motherland but to her own family. When her sister says to her son (Diana's nephew) that she will help him with his homework assignment - the essay question "Where does the motherland begin?" - her so doing is the first of all the little family interactions in the video that are themselves the answer to the question. The essay the boy wrote, which in the video is displayed proudly with the highest mark, is not just any old scribble. If one reads it through one finds it is a write-up in Russian of the answer that the video provides. It is a simple but very cleverly constructed and profoundly heartfelt video, as is the wonderful and uncharacteristic voice that Diana chooses to sing with!

Нет. Семья не в полном составе. Здесь нет мужа Насти - сестры Дианы (он скромный человек и не любит сниматься в видео). Нет также брата с женой и их сыном, они живут в другом городе.
