Diana has a really dramatic story. I put together some info about Diana from the comments to other reaction videos to Diana: The TV show where Diana sings called "You Are Super." It’s a special show where all contestants, like Diana, are either orphans or foster children. Diana won that show in 2018 with more than 50% of the total vote and this year she won it again and got a Grand Prix. When she was very small Diana was beaten by her birth mother who also attempted to drown her in a bathtub. When she was around 3 years old the state took her away and put into government children’s home. A lady named Irina Ponik who has worked in that Orphanage as a massage nurse adopted her at age 4 or 5. It is said that Diana didn't, or couldn't, even talk, or talk well. She asked her adoptive family to move far away from the town they lived - she was very afraid that her mother would find her. So they moved thousands of km from the city Ussuriysk in Russian Far East to another city Tolyatti in South Central Russia where she grew up and began to sing. It was her adoptive mother Irina who brought Diana to the vocal studio. Diana was abused so heavily that she could not speak at all. She got dumb. And doctors told her adoptive mother that music and trying to sing might help Diana to relax and to try to speak. They even were not sure she would ever speak at all. So Diana's adoptive mother decided to try this method. And now we all can see the power of music and human kindness.
