So can someone explain to me why exactly her parents were murdered ? Was it because Henry Knox wanted her powers or ?

So in the books, if I remember correct because it’s been a bit since I read them, her parents are murdered because they’re both very powerful witches and essentially Knox and other witches wanted to know what made them so powerful (‘cause they’re jealous little babies like that). I think in the show they’re killed for the same reason, but also just being more open minded and not wanting to heel or stick to the status quo. Basically if you can’t be controlled, you’re a threat to be eliminated.
