On 1 February 1986 he marries for the second time in Geneva with the Norwegian shipowner Arne Naess. In Australia, the single Chain Reaction remains three consecutive weeks at the top of the singles chart, becoming the best-selling single of the year, exceeding 300,000 copies and triple platinum, reaching 1st place in the ranking also in New Zealand, Ireland and England. In the latter country the single remains for 3 consecutive weeks in 1st place in the ranking, selling over 500,000 copies and obtaining the gold record.
On October 7th 1987 in Oslo his fourth child was born, the first male after three females, named, Ross Arne. In 1988 he recorded the song, If We Hold On Together, written and set to music by James Horner, which is part of the soundtrack of the film, In Search of the Enchanted Valley. The single in Japan remains first in the charts for 19 consecutive weeks and sells over 465 000 copies, thus obtaining four platinum records. On August 26, 1988, still in Oslo in Norway, his fifth son, Evan Olav, was born. In February 1989 he began the Working Overtime World Tour world tour, of which he filmed the concert held at the Wembley Arena in London.
