How this only made it so #95 in the US is one of life's great mysteries. It is a GREAT song.

Not only was it a #1 song in Australia, it was the #1 song of 1985 in Australia.

I love this song it has always been one of my favorite Diana Ross songs and yes it was a #1 hit song in your country Australia but to my suprise it was not even a Top 20 hit in my country, and yes The Bee Gees helped prodiced many songs for her album "Eaten Alive" in 1985, and the first song on the album was written with The Bee Gees and Micheal Jackson. The concept of the video is about love, and the mroe you give the more recive.

It was written by the beegees for Diana Ross ....Barry did thebacking vocals.....it was one of her top hits......

The video was basically making light of how TV shows were created back in the day. The men in the booth were determining which video/camera gets broadcast to the viewers at home.

Its was a big # 1 hit in Europe and Australia it is indeed the Bee Gees singing background the song produced by Diana & Barry Gibb was a throwback to classic motown

Well Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb wrote the song. I was a massive In Australia because of Dianna Ross, the Brothers Gibb were just a bonus.

Correct this was a big hit in Europe. In UK it was #1 for several weeks. The concept from Bee Gees was for Diana to go back to the 60s flavor with this music from Motown. Lots of talent for "little vocal cords" lol. She is one of the most successful female vocalist over the ones with "big vocalists".

It was Barry Gibb on Diana Ross's 'Chain Reaction' Barry Gibb contributed his high-pitched falsetto to the song. Though, the hit wasn't intended to feature on Diana's 1985 album Eaten Alive, until Robin Gibb persuaded her to record and include it. Great pick up! And yep, it was a big hit here (just because it was Diana Ross though)

What you say is correct. But it’s not that hard to guess. 😄The Beegees are on the track and it was the biggest selling single of 1986 in Australia. It was a hit all over Europe. But in the US there was anti disco sentiments still lingering from the 1979 boycott disco movement so original BeeGees version didn’t do well on the US charts. The dance remix did a little better, but still didn’t crack the top 50.

Biggest song in Australia in 1986. Huge hit most other places. Poor performance in US was due to poor promotion. Complete shambles.
