If Caitlin Clark goes to age 42 and stays healthy, Tarasi and every other WNBA STAR Of the past we'll just be memories somewhere down the stat list of numbers and achievements. The 1930s Jesse Owens was the greatest sprinter and long jumper in the world and today he is cherished but could not come close to competing with today's elite jumpers and sprinters. You will never be forgotten like so many great track and field athletes of the past. In the 50s Roger Bannister ran the 1st 4 minute mile his name is etched in history. But now college guys have to run under 4 minutes just to make the finals at the NCAA. Athletics evolve.

Finally caught a Sky game on a flight back to LA tonight. Holy crap.. Reese was the most unathletic player on the court. She has a 3" vertical and was blocked 4 or 5 times and also missed 3 or 4 shots at the rim. BUT she 'did' get 10pts and 10reb fwiw. Was this her worst game by far or is this every night?

I really hope Clark doesn't end up going to the Olympics. France is in political a nd civil unrest. Not to mention the ever present danger of terrorist attacks. Clarks' notoriety would add an extra element of danger. If there is terrorist attack being planned the fact that so many Americans would be watching Clark she and the team would be in their headlights. I've thought all along it is a blessing not to be on that roster.

People! How about some respect? Playing such a physical sport at 42 at a high level is awesome. Diana has had a great career. Don't diss her for her age! Youth isn't an accomplishment! I agree she should step aside for Clark at this point. But honestly, Clark is looking forward to the Olympic break, so I'm torn on what I'm hoping for.

Clark is already the best point guard - better than Gray because she is not the player she apparently was. The Olympic team is not a meritocracy - and it seems they are looking backward not forward in terms of women’s basketball. No one will take the WNBA seriously until they stop the stupid narratives designed to minimize Clark and over hype others. But maybe this is the crazy marketing strategy to create controversy where there otherwise would not be. All it does though is alienate new fans to the league and reinforce that this league is not to be taken seriously.

Something to consider: Last night, watching the Phoenix/Dallas game. Ogunbawele was 4 for 13 shooting, which is a very pedestrian number with her getting her usual minutes. She did have 13 assists. 13. It makes me wonder with the latest DT news. A very uncharacteristic game for her. Why now?
