How does she sing so beautifully while laying upside down!

I performed Otello four times with McCracken with the Opera Company of Boston the year before this performance. The view of this performance was very much like my view from the principal horn chair in the orchestra and brought back many fine memories. It always seemed that Jimmy threw his heart and soul in his performances of Otello, as well as the eight performances of Aida he did with us in the early 1980s with Shirley Verrett as Aida. An amazing performer!

Wonderful cast, production. Verdi's music... so tender, so vengeful. This is truly opera. Bravissimi a tutti.

Simply superb, high artistry level of all. Mckracken? Far better than Domingo.

During my lifetime (I am 57), we have had three truly great Otellos: Vickers, McCracken and Domingo.
