No, it doesn't store the map in memory, it rebuilds the map every time you start cleaning. This model has a good cleaning performance on carpets even compared to more expensive models. But I wish it would be smarter: it constantly bumping into furniture, sometimes it can't turn around in tight places because of its shape, can't find the charging dock, the map that the robot creates is very inaccurate, and it continues cleaning the same spots a few times especially when it cleans the entire house.
