Dickie’s lows are very silent, so the technique is mainly just rumbling from the throat. It’s comparable to Chris Barnes in TOTM. His highs on the other hand, VERY loud.

Late to the party but i'll give my two cents. After following Dickie on twitch and after the new Kardavox academy video where he talked about his vocals he can really do them effortlessly. Can't say anything about his stamina and how long gig would affect him tho. In those IA vocal diary clips they are experimenting with different sounds. I like both and Ben has crazy projection and both have disgusting range but for Dickie's defence i'll say this. His experimenting with different tones and combinations brings a whole lot of new things to the table. He has said that he wanted to be a voice actor when he was a kid and that really shows.

Dickie has a touring band called scumfuck. He just did a tour with Traitors. Seen him Dickie is a beast

@@yeetmyskeet6373 even later to the party; biggest difference though is that IA is not a live band that tours but SOI tours constantly so just as a matter of fact, Ben’s stamina is tried and tested. Idk much about what Dickie does with Scumfuck but he doesn’t tour with IA and thus, doesn’t have to replicate what he does in studio unless he’s doing a feature on a live song like he did in the video on SOI’s catacombs

@@natethomas3347 you're right, he is one of my favourite vocalists, very solid and constant(live as in studio), very powerful and versatile. Still, Dickie Allen definitely has more beauty when it comes to crazy sounds and humor, art. He just plays with the sound and does whatever he wants.

From my experience of talking to people, it's not that they hate it, they're just not into it or they have not been introduced to the genre; which is understandable.

@@devilishtee3117 basically everyone, it's not really a thing you're born with or are Gifted with... Though some people might have a natural talent to pick it up quicker. You practice it enough you'll get most of it down even if you start off sounding like shit. If you have the right information and knowledge you can pick it up quick. It may take years to develop full control of the techniques but that's normal.

It's not a gift it's something you learn. Calling it a gift invalidates all the hard work every vocalist did to learn vocals. Every vocalist you hear practiced for years and it's annoying af when people call it talent or gift. You can make these sounds as well if you just practice a lot.
