Hi Tony, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all your work and efforts to spread the mycelial word. Hey, I do make guitars, and here's why making a mycelium guitar is a good or bad idea, depending on application: If it's an electric guitar, it doesn't matter. You can make electric guitars out of woven carbon fiber, concrete, pvc, whatever. Because what matters is the electromagnetic resonant feedback from the vibration of the strings to the pickups. That's your timbre generator, start to finish. The only sacrifice you're making is in a note's sustain/decay rate, which is why neck-through construction electrics have longer sustain than bolt-on necks because the solid piece of wood allows the string to continue vibrating longer than if there was a break in the grain. Now if you're making an archtop, hollowbody electric, or acoustic, it matters and it matters A LOT. Old growth spruce is soundboard king because of how uniform in direction, density and spacing the wood fibers are, allowing for the most energy transfer from the string through the bridge to the soundboard and out into the air to your ears. That's why you'll see most high-end acoustics have a barely-varnished blond spruce, kinda boring looking soundboard while more aesthetic looking woods like mahogany and tiger maple soundboards on electrics.

It will be extremely difficult for anyone to get this in Aus, if by chance one does happen to qualify; good luck finding a practitioner who is allowed to administer it. The most significant part of this is the rescheduling - this will effect everyone who consumes, grows, sells or has possession of psilocybin mushrooms. I am interested to look into how the rescheduling has or will effect the legalities. Up until now, possessing anything other than spores ("for microscopic purposes") is almost guaranteed jail time, depending on quantity. As an Aussie, I know that when it is prescribed, it will be marked up 5000% of the 'black market' price by private companies just like weed is here. Our country is so conservative 😒.

I mean its cool and all that they are going to be used to help people in need and I totally support that but I dream that one day >> It will be okay that we wish to be happy in our leisure... That it will be okay that we wish to laugh and prevent any *future* depression !! (yes, future depression. It does work like that. A sort of depression preventative.) These tools open the mind very well and are extremely beneficial for those with healthy minds. Plus, it is a LOT safer for someone to partake in these when they do NOT have any mental problems. I think, people who have mental difficulties require help, but mentally stable people should have the freedom to do as they wish.

You don't need to home grow in Australia, I've gone mushroom hunting all over the world and I've never seen so many stropharia cubensis! You just have to go up to the mountains where there are dairy farms are you can pick them for 9 months of the year and the other months other psilocybes do still grow, but they're not nearly as strong. You don't need to grow them, just use a car 😂

Hello freshcap fam. How are we? Can someone answer a question please? So I am wondering the effects are high dosing these function mushrooms and on the liver and other organs. Ive heard Chaga can damage the liver. I got reishi, lionsmane and turkeytail extract from bulk supplements. I understand a dose I about 1-2grams daily. Would any of these be damaging to the liver using them daily at a higher dose? Also anyone know if the bulk supplements are any good? The reishi is a 4-1 extract with a dextrin carrier. Is that a bad sign? Oh well thanks y'all, can't wait to pick up some freshcap and grow my own eventually. Peace

I think most are better off with micro dosing. See the Ron White video about his trip to South America to take ayahuasca for his alcoholism, definitely not something to experiment with by yourself. What? Not sure what you're saying here, In BC Canada you can order MM online and don't need a prescription. I know it's in the grey area with the law but you still can get it with no problems.

The wood used to make guitars is high grade such as veneers or curly maple necks, etc. Mushroom mycelium will eat low grade wood that probably would end up in a brush pile fire.
