It's one of those places, we liked it so much the first time we just had to return! Technically, Tudor Caravan Park situated in the Cotswolds was our very first time away in Melvyn the Motorhome all the way back in September 2022.
Back then we didn't even have our own hose pipe let alone any real idea of what taking a holiday in a motorhome entailed yet we not only survived but we are much more experienced and with this wealth of knowledge (Ok, a slightly better idea of what we are supposed to be doing anyway!), we arrived at Slimbridge in early December 2023 for a couple of nights.
If you haven't been to this location, it's a great stop off point being a short drive from the M5 motorway and with the Tudor Arms public house situated on the entrance to the campsite serving excellent food throughout the day, this campsite is well worth exploring.
We originally thought about trying the bird sanctuary, Slimbridge next door until we discovered a light issue with taking The Pickle and opted for a walk along the canal instead.
Malish captured some great footage including a stunning sun rise after the previous night's storm and we also touch upon the fact that this was the maiden voyage for Melvyn the Motorhome with his new HPC Automated Self Levelling System. What a difference that makes!
