He had 1 more point than Steph and 2 more points than Jrue Holiday in just the same amount of playing time. He may or may not be the number 1 option but that's not what USA basketball is about. The fact that he even comes out and has to say this, shows a lack of maturity. To be fair, he was part of that USA Fiba team last year that came in FOURTH place. You would think he would have a little bit of humble left in his veins.

Love the talent. Love the confidence. Do not love the bravado. Excellence speaks for itself, and bragging, trash talk, etc. tears it down. Even if you can back it up. I've seen Anthony Edwards go both ways. So I hope he fosters his more intelligent classy side as he matures in the league. I think we need a higher standard for character in all professional sports. We teach these kids how to be stronger and run faster and play better, and I think we also need to be teaching them how to be better all around, and also demanding that they demonstrate character to the broader audience in public. So as they get older they can be inspired to exemplify true excellence means much more than a jump shot, a dunk, or a defensive stop. Just one man's opinion.

No, Steph did. But KD wasnt there. And Bron would be next. I would say (judging from watching the actual game) that Ant is a solid 3rd or 4th option. Booker and Tatum were nice too. Like they were the previous Olympics too. Jrue and Bam were also very complimentary (also 2nd Olympics.)

No , he was given the green light to show case an up and coming talent ready to take over after the old guard retires . He is a great young prospect , but not the level of a young lebron or Carmelo . But, he has appeal . The NBA needs to find that next face , post lebron . He's being given a tryout to see how much appeal he has . He's potentially a dwayne wade level talent if his career trajectory continues . Either way , he's a great young player deserving of his day in the sun .
