I think the Tempo is close but of course the Music is not a duplicate all the way through. George adds a great guitar solo and other riffs like the open where it's original to George. At other points it is really close to HE'S SO FINE

He did not reimagine this song that is a very old gospel song. God is God God don’t never change. They were singing that in the holiness churches when I was a little kid and I’m 61 now word for word all you have to do is look it up, except the way we used to sing it, and then the last line of the course wouldn’t be I know God is God and he always will be God it went like I know God is God and Jesus is his name. Had nothing to do with the melody of this all right mama just giving you a little information.

What I was trying to say is, this is a old Pentecostal holiness song that he would’ve learned when he was a little boy… There’s some people that sung it a little different and slower, but we always sung it just the way he did except for the last line. What we call a shouting song, shouting all over the floor.

Hi Jack, it's "That's All Right Mama". And I noticed before that he used the melody of a few other songs as well. He used the melody of the songs "I'm movin'on" and You're The Reason I'm Living". I'm not saying 100% sure, but the music I have a good ear. I have heard the melody of these two songs before in Bob songs.

Yes I saw the video from Family Worship center. I have seen a lot of Jimmy Swaggart and his church. I feel there is a lot of Performance going on for Camera but Pastor Bob was 100% sincere.

And the Re-imagining would happen in the Rehearsal when Pastor Bob remembered the Spirit of the first Elvis hit and put that flavor into God is God. Obviously he could have shifted into THAT'S ALRIGHT MAMA with great ease as the MUSIC is often close to identical.

Well I accept that the song, God is God has been around for a good while in usually Pentecostal circles. Since the MAMA song was written in the 1940s, it seems very likely the writer heard THAT'S ALRIGHT MAMA and borrowed from the music. Pastor Bob literally could have switched to the lyrics of Elvis's first hit and it would have flowed very nicely. The Bridge is different.
