DC embarrassed himself. They purposefully misconstrued his words, then when called out Misconstrued the insult, again on purpose. The callout wasn’t a good one though and that was true.

Daniel Cormier made himself look like a clown simping for the ufc who treated him like a side chick to Jon. Buckley did nothing wrong. DC should take off the (metaphorical) gloves when he puts on the headset as a commentary. You can rely on your fight experience to give you credibility as media/commentary, but he is trying to have his cake and eat it too. Meaning, that by trade he is now a commentator, not a fighter, so he shouldn't be getting into beef with fighters like he is still one. Imagine Jon Anik doing this. Former fighters get a pass for some reason.

If he was media in any other sport, he would be crossing the line. But the UFC is the wild, wild west and most of that is because Dana allows it to be. So, no, I don't think he crossed the line because Dana has pushed the line back so far. From using Conor attacking a bus full of fighters in promos, to allowing fighters to say whatever they want because "freedom of speech", to Dana slapping his own wife with no consequences, to no real media being allowed in press conferences, to fighters being able to commit crimes outside of the octagon and face no penalty within the company, and on and on.. I'm pretty sure Dana even shrugged his shoulders when he was told Arman punched the fan after the fan tried to hit him/flip him off.. The UFC has very little principles so it's hard to cross any line. It's just funny when Dana in the past has talked about wanting to be a sport/organization better recognized and has complained about not being that but allows and condones all this stuff that stands directly in the way of that.
