Five Nights at Freddy's infamously took inspiration from real life kid's pizza places of the 1980s. In preparation for the new FNAF movie, did they just take inspiration from our fan site? We explore some of the similarities and differences between Freddy Fazbear's Fanzone and ShowBizPizza.com!

5:06 The director of the movie did recently clear up that the movie does take place in the year of 2000, so assuming that the tapes were recorded around the mid-90s it probably would make a little sense lol.

I don't think that is possible, let me explain why. (SPOILERS REGARDING A CERTAIN EVENT!) The MCI is canon in this universe and happened at the same location in the early 80s. 1983 or 1987, one of the two. This is what caused the place to shut down. So it is indeed a mistake.

I think what is in important to remember is that the creator, Scott Cawthon, used to (and probably still does) talk to the creator of Showbiz Pizza. This was especially the case 8 years ago when the movie was first announced. I’m sure Scott and the creative team is talking to the Showbiz creator for inspiration for the basis the aesthetic layout out the promotional material and material used in the film like the uniforms. If anything at all, the parodying of the website and set/costume design is likely to pay homage to Showbiz’s property and help build that nostalgia for audiences who were around when Showbiz still was. Chuck E Cheese, however, was shameless with their marketing material and even explicitly had employees avoid mentioning Freddy’s, even though they tried hard to piggyback off of the movies hype. All in all, I would have loved to see CEC use the hype of the movie to help refresh interest in their establishments with at least some sort of talk with Scott and Universal/Blumhouse. Even if it wasn’t involving Freddy’s at all.

I want to also memtion about the chuck e cheese drama from 2 weeks ago. The poster they posted that is similar to the fnaf movie, has Mr munches nickname as "everyones favorite purple guy". Purple Guy is the main antagonist of the fnaf series and his real name is Willliam Afton. And on some employee note or something, it was a direct paroady of phone guy talking in night 3 of fnaf 1

The only clip of those we have is the Four Corners video (which is up in its entirety in 4k). The mention of some shots looking too detailed was referring to splicing together different AI enhancements of the same video - some portions look better with one enhancement filter while other portions looked better with another. But it’s all the from same video clip.

Yes, Scott got inspiration from his beaver game-“chipper and sons lumber co”(cuz it was too scary his fans said) and from u guys/showbiz cuz y’all were an FEC restaurant with animatronic s and even had a bear(Billybob) and at THAT time FECs such as y’all and FECs(with animatronics) IN GENERAL were super popular and common, so going with the crowd and taking inspiration from “CSLC(chipper and sons lumber co)” and taking inspiration from y’all(showbiz) he came up with FNAF and made FNAF(with Freddy)

Actually, it wasn't based on any real events. It was actually based on a comment for one of Scott's early games that complained how the characters look like creepy animatronics. So, he took that comment and used it to make the horror game we know today.

Yes they ripped everything off! Travis should sue them! Nick's site was up for about 5 years... Now she's getting the facts muddled? No hope for plain facts anymore. They're crazy if they think at this point I'd release all of the actual show titles and dates! The few that are out there is bad enough. If I release dates and titles bootlegs will pop up like crazy. I'm sure I'll eventually part with my show reels, tapes, DVDs, and thumb drives and Micro SD collection. It's very different when you have actual shows WITH data.
